Mark Collins is an absolute pleasure to deal with. He knows the local Guildford market inside out and has a great network of contacts, which we made use of not only for our sale, but our local purchase too. Our process ended up taking a little longer than anticipated due to a Land Registry query, but he reassured both us and our buyers and provided the vital link between us all, giving us confidence that it would all come good in the end. As Londoners, we were used to estate agents being pushy, pointy-shoed chancers, who cared about commissions rather than their customers. We were so impressed and surprised by Mark’s assistance throughout the buying process. Right from the first viewing, he was open and honest about the property, and supported us throughout the buying process with useful updates, guidance, and continual contact. He went above and beyond once we’d bought the property, but weren’t able to move in yet, by checking things like the heating in the house to ensure that the everything was working and the pipes didn’t freeze over Christmas. Having Mark involved in my first house purchase promoted a calm experience and therefore a more enjoyable one. I found Mark to be friendly, approachable and committed as he often dealt with enquiries outside of ‘normal’ business operating hours. As it is probably likely with many purchases, the presence of COVID-19 presented challenges to our chain. Mark was quick to adapt and provide regular updates through his good communication skills. This helped to provide reassurance and therefore confidence in regards to buying a property which beforehand can often be seen as daunting.
