Dear DJ Alexander,Thank you for all your help with what has been a tight time frame to get us into the flat at Dicksonfield, Leith this weekend (April 31st) In particular, Laura McTaggart took meticulous care of our situation and assisted us patiently with the lease preparation and final agreement documentation. Her phone calls alongside every email stage of the process truly went above and beyond for us in what has been a very challenging week for our young family. Professional, yet truly considerate. GoogleImpolite over the phone for viewing appointments +another time I had a viewing and called me literally when I was heading there to cancel , they probably think they are the only agency in Edinburgh. Thank god they are not. Avoid!

Worst letting agent I’ver ever delt with. Single handedly lost £1000’s of rent for clients by NEVER answering the phone or returning calls and emails. Had a viewing booked , after weeks of being ignored and having to show up at there physical office. I received no confirmation on-the day, and could not get hold of anyone to confirm either. I will never recommend DJ Alexander to anyone looking to rent or sell. Worst letting agent in Edinburgh.

They should be reported and banned from providing the worse service you could ever expect from a company who actually claim to be the best on the market.Avoid them!They bullied us throughout the all tenancy and they now want to keep our deposit for ridiculous reasons especially considering the way the treated us.
MariannaI continue to refute the claims you put on this website, i appreciate that everyone has the freedom to express their views, however yours continue to be factually incorrect.We have not bullied you but instead we have factually represented matters which you have challenged. This includes the end of tenancy report which was sent to you and your landlord to review. We have never discussed "keeping your deposit" . I made a commitment to review your liabilities at the end of the tenancy in a fair and transparent manner. This has been fulfilled and you have received confirmation that the deposit will be returned in full. I am pleased you and your family have been able to find a new home and hope you are very happy there. I am sorry that we have not always been able to agree on all matters but i hope now with the return of the deposit then this will conclude matters.Kind regardsSteve RobbinsHead of Customer Service

I'm giving 1 star review because the 0 option was not available. My partner and I rented a flat managed by them and the whole process to actually get us in the flat was very quick, but after that it really has been a nightmare to have to deal with the agency. The flat that we are living in has mice, but not only 1 or 2 that are seen from time to time, mice that we see constantly at any time of the day. They go everywhere they want, they are annoying but most importantly, they truly can trigger health problems. In this case, my partner has been having allergic reactions (I'm a 100% sure he's having them from the mice since it NEVER was an issue before) and they know this because I have told them hundreds of times, via email or over the phone. They have never properly engaged with this problem, in 2 ocasions someone came and put poison but I repeated so many times that this wasn't enough. There's a HUGE hole under the sink -which we know this is the way they come through- and yet, after 6 moths living in this flat, they have not bothered on doing something about it. I suggested further things like traps so that we could free them out or ultrasonic devices, since I feel bad about them being poisoned and yet no one ever actually considered them. I would also like to mention that I did not like poison on the first place because I didn't want to find a dead mouse in the kitchen, and yet, we have encountered a few- and surprise, the people who deals with picking up a poor dead smelly mouse it us, not the agency. I was very tolerant at the start since I thought that the pandemic might be doing it hard for them to communicate or something but seeing other comments that complain about lack of communication makes me think that they are just simply internally very bad organised. I feel kind of bad leaving such a bad review but then I think that maybe other people will see this in the future and double think about renting a flat with this agency and it makes me feel better.
