TrustpilotWorst letting agent ever - AVOID
DJ Alexander have been wildly incompetent throughout our tenancy. Upon check out the dispute re our deposit has been laughable. They were looking to charge us for cleaning despite the fact that the property was disgusting when we moved in and we notified them at the time that unless they got it cleaned, we wouldn’t be cleaning it to a professional standard upon leaving. We evidenced this in our dispute but no one paid attention and I had to send the evidence three times. They also tried to charge us for shampooing a carpet that was rated the lowest rating on the inventory when we moved in and was very badly stained before we were even tenants (these charges magically disappeared upon challenging. They even tried to charge us £5 for a lightbulb that we evidenced the previous agent advising us that it could not be changed due to its location! They are absolute rip off merchants. Weeks between responses, never following up etc. We moved out on 26th October and on 13th December we are still no further forward. Honestly if you can avoid them then seriously do!

I am a current tenant with Dj Alexander and have been so since 2015. I have had the worst experiences throughout the years, I called them a month ago to inform them about a leak in the boiler, nothing serious but wanted to keep them informed so they could look into the matter before it got worst. I was than promised a call back to keep me updated on the situation, to my surprise, never got a call back on the progress of this maintenance issue. Called them again today and was informed that the maintenance issue was not even recorded. To add to this I was again promised a call back, fingers crossed and hopefully receive a call back and never have to go through this again. The only reason I write this review is because its not the first time I have had this kind of an experience with Dj Alexander.

GoogleDJ Alexander have been excellent in their flexibility and helping myself and my partner find a flat to rent as quick as possible in the centre of Edinburgh. Imran Iqbal our property manager is always quick to reply to our emails and supports us with queries to our landlord. I would definitely recommend to others

With just days to a fleeting visit to Edinburgh, they arranged no less than four properties for me to view, all of them matching my criteria. I am 2 weeks off seventy, have asthma. I am now on my 14th day with no heating or hot water over Christmas period. Have been told it would be fixed last week then on Friday I was told boiler had only been ordered previous Tues. Can not believe how I have been treated. No one ever phones you back.
