I am writing this review specifically to praise one member of DJ Alexander's staff, namely Kjartan Behm, who, over eight years, has been far and away its most honest, keen, clear, sharp, witty, helpful, and direct member of staff. Tip-top fellow.The overall company, I'm not too fond of, it has a tendency towards hefty bureaucracy, and corresponds with the stick, rather than recognizing tenants are its business and pay its bills. But at times it has some excellent staff who break through the corporatese to actually get the work done.Kjartan stands out, however, as its finest example of a man getting the job done and being a tip-top human to boot, so chapeau to him indeed.He made everything from start to finish work.

GoogleDo not rent from DJ, left us WEEKS without a washing machine, a SHOWER, a fridge freezer, an oven and the boiler has been broken for two years. We did contact customer services and we got told everything was fixed within a ‘decent’ amount of time. Do you call having no shower for two weeks, no over for about 3 weeks, a broken boiler for TWO years…the list goes on, a ‘decent’ amount of time to be fixed within??

We have had 2 viewings with DJ Alexander, with Eilidh and Blair. Both have been very hospitable and walked us through the apartments to provide context and detail. This has been above and beyond any of the other letting agencies we have used. Both Eilidh and Blair were very professional and were able to answer all our questions. This gave us a lot of confidence in moving forward with the company.

GoogleWe are so very grateful to DJ Alexander Edinburgh but most especially Ashley. She has been amazingly supportive, incredibly caring and such a huge help to our daughter and us. Our daughter has been having such a roller coaster journey trying to rent a property for her third year at University in what is a very crazy rental market at the moment. Ashley has gone above and beyond to do anything she can to help and as we live 500 miles away on the south coast of England having her support has been an absolute godsend. Her communication has been fantastic and we have felt reassured during every step of the process. We are now in the very happy position of having found a fantastic property and are looking forward to having Ashley as our property manager going forward. We feel very lucky to have found a property manager who cares so much. We have also found the credit reference and guarantor check process to be incredibly smooth and accessible. Norman MacLean, their maintenance coordinator, has been incredibly helpful in dealing with a very difficult contractor following a leak in the flat.
