The experience has been really nice. The property manager Kieran Mooney was helpful throughout the whole process and explained in detail how, as a student, I would be renting my flat and helped advise what information I needed while also being patient during my awkward questions. We had an excellent experience with Ramya Peela, who is the Property Relationship Manager at Edinburgh office. Though we didn't meet her in person, but she was always accessible through email/phone and kept us updated with any information about our request for a new installation of dishwasher at the rented flat. Finally the request got completed on time and we are quite happy with the overall expereince. The team at DJ Alexander had always been proactive in resolving any issues or executing any requests. Great job by Ramya and DJ Alexander team.

Absolutely awful company. By far the worst letting agency on the market. Literally rob peoples deposits, So many others say the same thing, and they are literally the reason letting agencies get a bad rep. We left our apartment in immaculate condition, better than when we received it, which we have photo and video evidence of, yet they still deduct money from the deposit, so there is literally no point in cleaning your apartment when you leave as they will still deduct money from your deposit. STAFF was also terrible to deal with, taking ages to reply and not helping whatsoever. AVOID.

I recently agreed a let with DJ Alexander. Booking a viewing was very straightforward.After being accepted Laura McTaggart gave me call and an email. She was extremely helpful throughout the whole process. She called me with updates and to check in through out. I felt in very safe hands.Laura sent me through tips for getting everything set up in my new property and there system allowed me to switch energy and set up broadband ready for my move in date.This has been a much better experience than my previous letting agency.

This company went far beyond what we expect of an estate agency. I want to give a great big thanks to the staff that we have dealt with over the last few years Yasser, Guilia ,Sara, and Ashley, they are all first rate, they pulled out all the stops when we had a problem with water ingress in a flat we were selling recently, thanks to these guys we managed to complete the sale. GooglePlease be aware that DJ Alexander are corrupt and will always side with the landlord. We looked after our let and made an effort to deep clean, shampoo carpets, clean windows and leave our expensive tv at no cost for the next tenants as the one that was there was terrible and fell off the wall. All to be charged 50% of our deposit for cleaning. Don’t bother cleaning when you leave! Disgusting I have also heard they like to raise rent and say it was the landlords decision when they’re actually pocketing it so please be aware

GoogleThese people will: turn up late or not all to viewings, ignore correspondence about flat issues, straight up lie to your face in terms of dealing with something in a timely manner (our agent promised us he would fix something by the next day, when we called the next day for an update turns out he'd just gone on annual leave!!), and then they will try and charge you for things like not cleaning the external aspect of the windows on a 5th floor flat when you try to get your deposit back. They have no souls. However, eventually I realised that if you need something, make sure you go to their office in person and just refuse to leave until something is sorted. I did at 4:30 on a Friday and refused to leave until there was a solution in place. They agreed pretty quick when they realised how long I was willing to delay their weekend for. They've also taken over Braemore letting agency who let people into my flat without telling me in advance, didn't lock the door behind them on a different viewing despite the fact we'd been burgled 6 months prior, and tried to blame us for a failed viewing when they couldn't get into the flat, despite having no evidence of communicating the viewing to us. When I left a review (which has been removed since the takeover), they tried to say they had no record of me as a tenant, which is either an attempt to avoid responsibility or evidence of their undoubtedly horrendous record keeping, take your pick 😂

DJ Alexander were incompetent and unprofessional from the start. Went to view the property and letting agent left three of us waiting outside for ten minutes, before someone called and said the landlord was inside, why not greet the viewers at the door? Viewed the property and decided to go ahead, asked the agent to proceed with an application, the agent said he had sent an email with my application, I later realised he hadn't, I called to resolve this and was told to wait, waited until the next day and asked for another application, so had to chase this up.. filled it out within 20 minutes and was told in the next hour I had been successful. Then the agent called me telling me the house was on a pro rata rate, meaning I had to pay two months upfront and the deposit, no mention of this on their advertisement or at the viewing! Highly unprofessional. Called and spoke to an agent regarding the situation, who apologised and said it was a mistake, that the rent was due on the 1st of each month but move in date was the 9th, I asked if I could move in on the 1st, so I didn't have to pay two months upfront.. to which the agent replied no it takes a week to draft up a lease and get the property cleaned and we are short staffed. It's no wonder the way the business is run, they can't keep staff. The date is the 20th of September then can't draft a lease and clean a property by the 1st ! It's as if they don't want anyone to move in. So they expect you to pay a full month's rent on the 9th and pay the rent for November on the 1st, plus the deposit and miss out on 9 days rent paid. What an absolute incompetent letting agent. Landlords using this letting agent will be very let down, losing good tenants to their laziness and untrained staff.
