Fantastic experience

I've recently started renting from Foxtons. They are both the letting agent and the managing agent. I have never paid so much for such a bad service. None of the extractor fans work, my heating doesnt work, the curtain rods are bent and now one has fallen off & luckily no one got hurt because they have taken so long to resolve the issues. I'm wondering is this even legal?

As a landlord (don't hate me!) paying for a managed service, they tried to charge me £90 + vat to fix a meter door with two cable ties. This is typical, and I have to chase them repeatedly for everything. My tenants and I deserve better.

Staff are polite, professional, and extremely helpful. Particular thanks to Adam who consistently went above and beyond to provide great service, which made the search for a let so much easier. Edit: 5* -> 1*. While staff are ambitious and effective, expect to be the last priority in the event of unreasonable living conditions created by landowners or unfinished fixes prior to move in. Rent was still collected in full for the landowner despite vermin, structural problems, flooding, and other issues remaining unfixed for months. Any request for professional advice was met with an unsympathetic and procedural response. Furthermore, during the move out period viewings were scheduled aggressively with communications between agents and tenants being very poor and sudden. Overall, for helping you find a property, they are effective and attentive. If you have a smooth experience with your landowner you will have no issues, but in the event of any problems you will be treated extremely disrespectfully and most likely have a very difficult experience resolving them as a result of their bottom line.PositiveProfessionalism

Simon, Charlie and the team at Foxtons Crystal Palace did a great job with the sale of our property. The agents showing the property were always contactable and helpful and provided feedback in a timely manner after each viewing. They secured two offers for us and, in the latter stages of our sale, Simon in particular was extremely helpful in helping move the transaction towards completion. While Foxtons were more expensive than other agents in our area, they delivered on both price and service and we would definitely recommend them to others in the area.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. I've honestly never had a better level of service and partnership from any provider than I've had with Simon Darvill and Michaela McHugh at Foxtons Crystal Palace office. From day 1 during an initial, pre-listing meeting in my flat, Simon has been a joy to work with. His professionalism and friendliness meant I trusted him from the get-go. My flat was only on the market for 7 days before going under offer, which was fantastic news. The best part of this experience has been how Simon and Michaela have guided and supported me and my partner through some difficult times. Through no fault of Foxtons', we ran into some issues with our first offer and had to re-list. As before, it was not long at all until we were under offer again (a sale struck by Michaela, who has been a joy to work with from her very first viewing with the buyer). During all the typical ups-and-downs felt by all sellers during any house sale process - they have both been incredibly supportive, understanding, genuine, empathetic and hardworking in ensuring me and my partner got the best outcome possible. I honestly don't think we would have completed the sale had it not been for their expertise, support and guidance throughout the entire process. If like me, you are considering Foxtons along with other providers - all I can say is that in my experience, I wouldn't recommend anyone else. Once again, Simon and Michaela are a credit to the company and have both been incredible. Their partnership and support is one I'm never likely to forget. Thank you, guys!

We were searching for months for a property to buy and must have worked with every agent in the area - the level of service, detail and knowledge from Phoebe at Foxtons was leagues ahead of any other agent we visited properties with. She had the answers to all our questions, and more, had ideas for development, and even sent over comparable properties in the area to demonstrate the potential. A huge disappointment from start to finish

Our experience with Foxtons has been nothing short of frustrating. From the very beginning, communication was poor. Before moving in, emails went unanswered or delayed, and once we raised urgent issues like a serious mold problem, it was not addressed in a timely manner. We also went without heating for weeks in the winter before finally being given a few space heaters as a stop-gap.
