Avoid

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid. Based on my experience, I would advise new landlords to be extremely cautious with Foxtons. The agent’s explanations of commission and contract terms were unclear, and I ended up in a lengthy dispute over unexpected fees. Which is escalated to ombudsman and will probaly go to the court. Never trust a word of Foxton's agents. Always insist on written communication and carefully review all documents before signing. I would not recommend Foxtons to others based on my experience.

Aware of their sometimes mixed reputation, I signed up to Foxtons with slight trepidation. I needn’t have as from start to finish they have been utterly flawless. Just in terms of “getting the job done”, they smashed it. I had my property on the market with two separate estate agents for nine months prior to choosing Foxtons. They sold the property in two weeks - before it even went online! Not just that, but the service throughout has been impeccable. I worked with Jack and Michaela st the Crystal Palace branch on the sale, and both were brilliant, even though Michaela had to deal with very pushy sellers and a crazy amount of pressure from further up the chain. The process was characterised by a practical, friendly, professional and can-do problem solving attitude throughout. I am now happily established in my new home thanks to their hard work. Couldn’t recommend highly enough!

As the owner of a flat

As the owner of a flat, I struggled for months to find tenants. I tried renting it myself but mostly scammers or people who waste my time only, then worked with several agencies - including one that promised a quick result but instead damaged my flat and pressured me constantly with calls and messages, day and night. This is my second review for the Foxton Crystal Palace agency. 10 years later, buying a property. Phoebe looked after us. She understood our needs and suggested some properties which were always relevant to what we were looking for. She also communicated efficiently and is a pleasant woman. We really appreciated her commitment, positive attitude and professionalism. 10 years before… After spending days and weeks of lies and disappointment with various Estate agents, Dipan tried really hard to find me a flat to rent. He understood my needs and took me to many places in the morning. He was very patient and pleasant. Then, the team working with him in the office looked after me the time I was waiting to conclude the deal.
