GoogleI have used Jackson’s for many years both for rental management and sales. A recent sale of an apartment should have been very straightforward but, for a number of reasons, this did not prove to be the case. The sale dragged on and on but throughout it all the one person who contacted me without request, to let me know what was happening with Solicitors, Estate Agents, staff within Jackson’s and the purchasers was Debbie Mead. She was truly outstanding. I can’t thank her enough for supporting me throughout the process.

GoogleI first reached out to Jackson & Co at the end of march 2021 after searching online for a property to purchase as a first-time buyer. Once I found the property, I contacted them for viewing straight after. Later on, I had the pleasure of dealing with Debbie the Sales Progressor, she was excellent throughout the whole process. She was fully supportive during the purchase of my new property. I cannot thank her enough for all her assistance, legal expertise, patience and dedication, it went above and beyond my expectations throughout the course of my purchasing process. GoogleWe enjoyed our tenancy with Jackson & Co until it came to reclaiming our deposit at the end of our tenancy. It took months of us emailing with no reply and after continuously calling and being told 'the guy who deals with deposits is on his day off' we finally had a conversation 2 months after the tenancy ended. In this conversation they attempted to charge us with a burn on a sofa, which when I requested proof, was not even our apartment and were then subsequently charged £190 for the cleaning of an oven, which was not clean at the start of our tenancy. When we went back to them to argue this charge, they said it has already been filed with DPS and if we wanted to do anything we would have to dispute it on there which would take months. If you want a nice simple end to your tenancy with reliable deposit returns and transparency, DO NOT use this firm.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism, Value

GoogleSuch a shame and disrespectful cheaters "Jackson Co Property Services". usually, I prefer to ignore the mistakes and don't bother to comment or review. In the past, we also lost our 350 pounds when they claimed our reference was not correct. After reviewing many such reviews, now it is clear they are a professional bunch of cheaters. (Maybe 50-60% of their work might be genuine) Sadly, now I am interested in one of their properties and I don't know what to do. GoogleThe location is good, and the scenery is also very excellent. It is very close to the university and 10 minutes away from Tesco. It also has a dishwasher, which saves a lot of time. It‘s just that the neighbours are a little noisy in the middle of the night, because they should always have a party.

GoogleI have been with jackson for a couple of years and I’m not very happy, they never respond to you for anything. You ask a simple question and they can never give you a straight answer. They are not helpful whatsoever. Do not recommend!

GoogleIf you view your place before you move in and point out repairs required, they do get most done... But if you want them all done ... They won't. Prepare to wait. Because of Covid, but then again hearing from people who previously were with J&C before Covid also never got their repairs seen to either. :/ Next steps are speaking with Shelter or gov. to find out where I stand and nearly 4 months is a long time to be waiting for simple things to be fixed. Would fix them myself, but then also heard that they use that against you when getting deposit back so worried to do that. Would be 1000 times quicker to just speak with the landlord directly.

GoogleThey didn't get the boiler fixed (no hot water!) for 6 months, until the Colchester Borough Council got involved. There was a water leakage and they ignored my calls for 2 months regarding that, which ended up damaging the property. Tenants and Landlords, run away!
