Hugely disappointed by our experience with Darlows Llanishen. We viewed and made an offer for a property that had been on the market for a while, and were told by Amelia at Darlows that our offer was the most attractive to the seller, and would likely be accepted as soon as the seller had found a property, which should be by the end of that week. We then heard nothing from Darlows for 2 months, struggling to get any response from them during that time. We still didn't hear anything from them until we eventually saw that the property was sold STC on rightmove, when we emailed asking what happened, all we got was a short message saying they thought they had already let us know about it, in spite of not having spoken to us since asking us to wait for our offer to be accepted. All in all they were very difficult to get hold of, late to the viewings, and not at all communicative throughout the process, and we would not recommend using them if you value your own time. Edit in response to the reply from Darlows: my mistake, 6 weeks with no contact, not 8. But we weren't told we were unsuccessful at any point, we had to find out ourselves. Not interested in contacting the office as there's nothing to be done now, just want to make sure other potential customers don't make the mistake of relying on Darlows.

I don’t usually leave reviews but felt I needed to after this bad experience. We were left very disappointed by Darlows Llanishen. After we made an initial offer on a property via Amelia, we were told that our offer was the strongest and it was just a matter of waiting for the seller to accept our offer, only to then be ignored / forgotten about by Darlows and hear back over a MONTH later that the property had been sold STC, and so we had had no opportunity to amend our offer. Throughout the process, communication from Darlows was very poor - replies to emails were either very late or never came at all. We were often calling just to get a reply to our emails days after they had been sent. Really disappointed and will be avoiding Darlows Llanishen in future.

Avoid the Darlows Property Management Service - save yourself the hassle

Darlows Cardiff property management service is shocking, please if you are reading this review use any other property management service. I have had problems with Darlows letting two of my properties over the past 18 months. The PM service never replies to emails, and never returns calls (no-one is ever on-site to answer so they do not call back once you have left a voicemail). On one tenancy renewal, they signed a contract on my behalf for 6 months, instead of the agreed 12 months. On another occasion, they didn't have any of the paperwork ready when new tenants and I stood outside the property for hours. They released, though they had been provided all the information by the tenant, and myself, they had not checked a single thing so had to go through that (think that took 5 hours...). Every time another issue arises they have an excuse. I have finally paid them off to break the contract for rent collection services (over £1,000) and now they are sending my tenants letters saying they are late on rent and refusing to provide an invoice for the payment made to break the contract. Both the tenants and I have been trying to get in touch with them about this for the past month (the first email was sent on the 2 March 2023).If I sound exasperated in this review it is because I am. I have left it this long hoping I would get a response and could close this matter, however it seems Darlows only replies when reviews are posted (looking at previous reviews). I honestly do not understand how a company can keep functioning with constant mistakes, as well as disgustingly poor customer service. Please avoid if you are looking to rent your home!To the Darlows team member reading this, please come back to my tenant and I's numerous emails so this matter/ contract can be brought to a close.

Hi I am very angry about the call back I received regarding my enquiry about viewing the property below.What I plan to do with my properties has no bearing on my ability to purchase a propertyI am offended that you based your assumptions on my postcode and assume I am what? Wasting your time?Nothing in here says that I need to prove I can purchase the property before being able to view a property, it does state I should be offered a Virtual Viewing where possible and arrange a viewing in advancedThis is what I was trying to do before I was questioned about my finances. I am in shocked you had the audacity to ask me to provide proof of a pre-approved mortgage.There was one assumption you did get right my inability to work with in the future, good luck finding the type of customers you are looking and that they come from the types of areas you prefer

I contacted Darlows pontypridd re a property advertised by them as For Sale.It isn't on their website, rightmove or any others that I could find online, so I used the Chat facility on their Web page.Apparently, despite all the other properties that are advertised with them on open public pages they were unable to provide any details at all due to GDPR rules 🤣🤣🤣 Best advice to any potential sellers will be to use a different estate agent.(Note, the person I 'spoke to' was helpful, polite etc. This comment is not a reflection on them)
