Although the initial person I dealt with (Rhys)was good after about 3 weeks communication went downhill fast, over the next several months I was the person chasing info as the weekly automatic report didn’t tell me anything useful.

We're being harassed by phone to extend…

We're being harassed by phone to extend our contract prematurely, but are faced with radio silence by email when we ask them to confirm what our contractual obligations are... they've been ignoring us for a month now. My partner and I work full time jobs so are unable to take their calls, we've told them numerous times that our preferred method of communication is email, but they'd rather bully us over the phone into renewing our contract early.We're happy with the property, but are fed up with the lack of professionalism shown by Darlows. If we decide not to extend, it'll be because we're fed up of Darlows, not because there is any issues with the property.We're not asking for anything out of the ordinary, we just want to know contractually when we need to let them know if we're going to extend the contract and what our options are. Can we move onto a rolling contract or extend for a different length of time? e.g. 6 months.They are ignoring all these questions and are trying to strong-arm us into signing for another 12 months, MONTHS before our contract says we have to decide by.

Hugely disappointed by our experience with Darlows Llanishen. We viewed and made an offer for a property that had been on the market for a while, and were told by Amelia at Darlows that our offer was the most attractive to the seller, and would likely be accepted as soon as the seller had found a property, which should be by the end of that week. We then heard nothing from Darlows for 2 months, struggling to get any response from them during that time. We still didn't hear anything from them until we eventually saw that the property was sold STC on rightmove, when we emailed asking what happened, all we got was a short message saying they thought they had already let us know about it, in spite of not having spoken to us since asking us to wait for our offer to be accepted. All in all they were very difficult to get hold of, late to the viewings, and not at all communicative throughout the process, and we would not recommend using them if you value your own time. Edit in response to the reply from Darlows: my mistake, 6 weeks with no contact, not 8. But we weren't told we were unsuccessful at any point, we had to find out ourselves. Not interested in contacting the office as there's nothing to be done now, just want to make sure other potential customers don't make the mistake of relying on Darlows.

I don’t usually leave reviews but felt I needed to after this bad experience. We were left very disappointed by Darlows Llanishen. After we made an initial offer on a property via Amelia, we were told that our offer was the strongest and it was just a matter of waiting for the seller to accept our offer, only to then be ignored / forgotten about by Darlows and hear back over a MONTH later that the property had been sold STC, and so we had had no opportunity to amend our offer. Throughout the process, communication from Darlows was very poor - replies to emails were either very late or never came at all. We were often calling just to get a reply to our emails days after they had been sent. Really disappointed and will be avoiding Darlows Llanishen in future.
