GoogleExcellent service from the word go. Photos of property taken quickly in optimum light conditions. Property advertised, viewings arranged and an offer made within a week. These are really conscientious people - Gareth Lewis goes above and beyond to sort out any issues that arise in the course of a sale. In the background are people who also help to make sure that things go smoothly. All in all a professional, friendly, efficient organisation. I would thoroughly recommend them.

Absolutely dire level of service.Well, I never knew that darlows of Caerphilly had a 'preferred' buyers list, did you?Apparently an open day for a house, which we were booked in for, and that in their words, no one was allowed to see before said open house. Only to be called today to say that the house has bee seen and sold by someone on their 'preferred' list. Disgraceful.Obviously some buyers are more equal than others in Caerphilly especially if buying through Darlows.Fair enough this happens, but please stop the lying.

Emma, who led the letting, was particularly helpful in achieving a smooth let.Against other letting agents that we have used, we have found them the best so far, and are transferring other properties to them.Darlows Portal appears to be a useful on-line facility for property requests, actions and documentation.

I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with Darlows Estate Agency, which I consider one of the most unprofessional agencies I have encountered. As an investor, I had an offer accepted in November 2024 for a property advertised as a studio in Ferry Court. What followed was an exceptionally frustrating conveyancing process, marked by significant delays and poor communication from the vendor, their solicitor, and Darlows. The conveyancing process took nearly seven months to reach the point of exchange. During this period, the vendor, their solicitor, and Darlows were consistently slow to respond, requiring me to send over 100 emails to chase progress. At times, the vendor’s solicitor failed to reply for weeks or even months, causing unnecessary delays. Conveniently, by the time we approached exchange, the tenant’s fixed-term tenancy had expired. Under Welsh law, this allowed the tenant to remain on a rolling contract, which was contrary to my interest as an investor, as my offer was conditional on purchasing the property with a fixed-term tenancy in place. I explicitly requested that Darlows liaise with the vendor to ensure the property was either transferred with a fixed-term tenancy (as agreed in November 2024) or delivered vacant. In an email sent via the Darlows agent on 4 June 2025, I was assured that a tenancy agreement would be reinstated on the day of completion. Based on this assurance, I transferred all necessary funds. However, when the time came, the vendor and their solicitor denied any such arrangement, leaving me with the unacceptable option of accepting the property with a tenant on a rolling contract. This would have exposed me to the risk of a six-month tenancy continuation and the potential need for legal action to evict the tenant. The sudden responsiveness of the vendor’s solicitor, who began replying to queries within hours once the fixed-term tenancy neared its end, contrasted sharply with their earlier delays. This pattern of behaviour, combined with the failure to honour the agreed tenancy terms, represents a serious breach of trust and professionalism. I am deeply disappointed by Darlows’ handling of this matter and their failure to ensure clear and accurate communication throughout the process. Very conveniently the same property has been advertised straight away on same day (today - 26/06/2025 after wasting my 7 months)

Unprofessional, poor communication, although a couple of the agents were very nice people and polite ( the nice people have since left..). Overall I would not recommend selling with Darlows Llanishen. They even have the cheek to keep ringing me about "my property search" when the sale of my flat has fallen through!

As I was in Spain when viewings were taking place, Sarah always informed me beforehand when she was taking a prospective buyer into my house and provided feedback after each viewing. Avoid DARLOWS AT ALL COST Absolutely appalling experience with Darlows. Every interaction is a struggle. They consistently pass me from person to person, with no one seeming to know what's going on or who's in charge. The lack of professionalism is staggering. It's been TWO YEARS and my case is still unresolved. Communication is non-existent - no updates, no follow-through. My solicitors won't even deal with them directly. If you value your sanity, stay away from Darlows. Utterly disappointing and unprofessional service. Spent £2000 on solicitors and surveys, If you're a manager at Darlows HQ, PLEASE GET IN TOUCH WITH ME. I demand answers and resolution. Darlows, you've had your chance to fix this - now it's time to take responsibility.
