We had such a fantastic experience with Teian and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better estate agent, especially as first-time buyers. Teian showed us around a few properties initially which, although lovely, just weren’t quite right for us. She really listened to what we were looking for and never made us feel pressured. A few days later, she called to let me know about a new property that was about to come onto the market as she thought it would be perfect for us, and she was absolutely right! We viewed it and within just two days our offer had been accepted. The whole process felt smooth and stress-free thanks to Teian. She is so lovely, professional, and genuinely cares about her clients. As first-time buyers, we had lots of questions and nerves, but she put us at ease every step of the way and made everything feel manageable. We’re so grateful for her support and would highly recommend her to anyone looking to buy a home!

As a first-time buyer, I was understandably nervous about starting the property-buying process, especially going into my first mortgage-advisor meeting on my own with very little knowledge. Jake and Richard made the whole experience so much easier and far less intimidating. Jake has been absolutely brilliant from the very beginning, working around my work schedule to arrange a meeting with Richard. He has also been fantastic at finding properties that match what I'm looking for, and thanks to his help I have my very first viewing this weekend. Richard was equally fantastic during our meeting. He took the time to explain how everything works in a way that was easy to understand, which really helped put my mind at ease. I can't thank them enough for making my first experience as a future buyer such a positive one.

Disappointing experience

Disappointing experience. Partner went to view a house and was told the landlord wanted to choose someone that day. He was advised they would email everyone after the viewing and ask them to submit their details regarding whether they wanted the house, their income etc.We had no email. We called for an update, but there was none. We called again and asked for a call back that day as we were interested, but there was no call back. This went on for several days with no call back given as promised.Eventually the house was changed to 'agreed let' online so we called to ask what was going on. We were told that the landlord was still deciding and someone would be in touch, but they weren't. We chased again, but nothing.Eventually, we gave up as the whole process was frustrating and badly managed. I appreciate that things in this industry can change fast but that's no excuse for not keeping people in the loop. Clearly a very badly organised branch.

I don't think 5 stars are enough to reflect what a superhuman effort Tim has shown. There have been many trials and tribulations with this property, mostly due to legal wheels grinding slow!, he has played a very large part in this sale reaching a successful conclusion. He has never given up and always remained positive. Tim has provided exemplary customer service and has shown a real commitment to his client. He is a real asset to Darlows and they are lucky to have his wealth of experience to draw on. My sister and I decided to put the sale of my late mothers’ property through Darlows Llanishen as they were the agents closest to the property to be sold. Unfortunately, it was beset by problems from the outset. Within a couple of weeks of signing up with the company, they closed their Llanishen office for about six months as the manager had moved on. Marketing was undertaken by Albany Road branch and as communications from them were non existent I visited them only to find there had been viewings that I had not been informed of. Despite promises of better communications being made, we had to chase to get any information. Eventually, Llanishen office re-opened. There were quite a few viewings and near sales. Eventually we accepted a low offer for a quick sale. Progress on the buyers side however was very slow to the point we considered putting the property back on the market. We felt that having made a sale subject to contract, Darlows were no longer interested. Eventually, after getting frustrated with progress, we visited the Llanishen office. Following this visit we discovered that the purchasers problem was funding. I’m not convinced Darlows did due diligence to ensure funds were in place to make the purchase. Once that was resolved and the purchasers had changed their legal team completion took place seven and a half months after the offer was accepted. During this time and despite various promises made, we had to keep ringing for updates. In the days leading up to completion Darlows offered to take the final meter readings for me as I live two hours drive away. Despite two emails and two ignored phone calls following completion the readings were not forthcoming. My partner, who has no financial stake in any of this, but has watched my growing frustration and anger with Darlows refers to Darlows as a complete shambles. Who am I to argue? The whole process has taken its toll on our lives and relationships. I could never ever recommend Darlows as Estate Agents.

Having been on the search for properties around Cardiff for a while and finding a few properties of interest in the Darlows catalogue, my parents and myself have viewed a few properties with Amelia Harrhy as our agent. In my experience Amelia is a very jovial and helpful person, I find that she respectably fulfils her responsibilities as an estate agent. Answering any questions we had about the properties, asking for feedback after the viewings, and routinely calling to inform me of any new properties that may be of interest. Her customer service has always been professional and considerate which always makes it a pleasure to deal with Amelia.

Tragedy Averted! Tim Davies acting on behalf of our Buyers single-handedly saved the day by intervening in a situation caused by others not doing their jobs properly! He made contact with us and told us our Buyers were withdrawing their offer for our property due to information that was false, and documents that were missing, making them doubt the purchase of our home. Tim arranged for his clients and ourselves to have a meeting at our home to talk about their concerns. After an hour of honest discussions, they decided to go ahead with the purchase and we are all back on track to complete on our sale. Everyone is happy. Thank you, Tim, for you exemplary work in saving the property chain from collapsing. We cannot thank you enough. We cannot speak for any other branch of Darlows, but the staff at Darlows Llanishen are excellent; they think outside the box, and we would highly recommend them.

I registered with Darlows Llanishen in September 2022 to find a property that suited my needs in Cardiff. From this branch; I received observations and opinion about the market that was very useful; and gave me a Cardiff perspective. Ben Scanlan kept in touch with me through email and telephone in a regular, yet not intrusive way, when there was a property that he thought was suitable. I did not find a property through this agent; but the continuity with one professional from the agency was reassuring and welcome (and quite unusual when compared with other estate agents I was registered with) Thank you. We have been dealing with Darlows Llanishen since 9th October 2021 when we decided to sell Tim Davies came and valued the property for us he was very friendly and told everything we needed to know which was great .we sold are property but unfortunately fell through so Tim being Tim got back to it and sold it again .so what I got to say about the Darlows team are great and friendly. But Tim Davies is an absolute legend in are book he has been there every step of the way even when I'm shouting and crying down the phone but this wasn't due to Darlows. He is amazing at his job couldn't have done it without him I probably drove him up the wall . He has done what he promised he's a star . Thanks
