GoogleNever again. I regret every single interaction i have ever had with this company and branch. They are rude and dismissive of any complaints and it feels they exist exclusively to drain as much money from you as possible. If you're looking for a lettings agency do yourself a favour and steer clear of this one. It's not like there is a lack of options in Canterbury.

GoogleI am a landlord and transferred my property to the new Canterbury branch of Martin and Co when it was opened four years ago, after I had experienced a multitude of problems with a nationwide corporate agency. My property had also been with another nationwide agency before that so I have almost nine years experience of agencies in Canterbury. Martin and Co employ experienced personnel who are always efficient and polite, and who strive to enhance the reputation and professional credibility of their company. I would not hesitate to recommend the agency to anyone who is thinking of either starting a buy-to-let business or transferring their property from another agency.

GoogleI have been interested in to separate propertys with this easte agent and both times they have treated me awful If I could leave no stars I would I waited 3 weeks for a viewing turning other places down then I get a call after waiting saying that it's been let I'd been on there case to get a viewing done so I could secure they have no remorse and do not care I would avoid thank god!! I didn't hand any money or identification over.!!!!!!!!!

GoogleWe were with Martin & co for 3 years and didn’t have a positive experience with them once. Communication was poor. During the pandemic they said to leave all doors and lights on so no one touched anything to stop spread of germs during a viewing, when we came back to the property all doors had been shut and lights turned back off therefore not following their own COVID safe rules. We felt pressured during communication with Martin and co but also communication was minimal so we’re given 24 hours max to make most decisions. Would not recommend renting with them.

GooglePoor quality of communication. I have been a tenant with Martin and Co for the past three years and I did not have a single positive experience with them. They lack of communication skills mainly, communicate solely via email, rarely via phone. Usually takes 3 working days to reply to our emails and often they reply out of context. And they do not take a responsibility when things go wrong. Try to search houses based on lettings agency as it makes a lot of dofference

Google(Renting) They're an estate agent. they are nice people but at the end of your tenancy, they will attempt squeeze your wallet until the pips grind with their first claim, our was nigh £600. Argue it. Most of the claims they make they know are unrealistic, but is you reply in a coordinated, persistent and professional matter, most of those charges will be dropped. In our case, After the arguments for charges were put to them, their claims went from £600 to £280. This is very much the case of you cant blame an animal (or a business, speaking of estate agents in general) for their nature, which is to try and make you pay far more than you need. But you still shouldn't give them a decent review when they try to shaft you. 2 *'s
