Meridith was absolutely lovely. She arrived 5 minutes early, and was nothing but kind, helpful, and patient the entire time my wife and I were viewing the flat. She was knowledgeable about the landlord and her tenant behavioral preferences, yet honest about what she did not know (which is preferable to taking a guess and having to retract later on.) In the case of the latter, she reassured us that she would check in with the landlord and get back to us as soon as possible. We feel very comfortable moving forward in the letting process with an agency that hires estate agents like Meridith.

I tried to contact Martin & Co on the phone several times on a Saturday but with no answer. Maybe no one was in the office, in which case opening times on an answer phone would be helpful. I did leave a message and send an email and had a response the next day (Sunday) which was informative and very helpful. I responded and had a reply almost immediately so where I had been left disappointed when trying to get through by phone I was more than happy at the communication I had following that which definitely made up for it. Gaye, who emailed me, was honest, informative and very friendly. Overall very helpful and good customer service.

My Viewing today went very well. The key points were- Meridith called me a few minutes after viewing time to help me find the location of the property.- The windows and curtains were open and to let in a good supply of air which was lovely and bright.- The interaction was professional and communication from Meridith was clear about what works well with the property and which space is for what purpose. - I was the leading person to see each space and then followed by Meridith which is nice because I get first impressions of each room.- Meridith explained about the kitchen is supplied with white goods and also explain the tenant has moved out early.- Meridith pointed out the spacious built-in storage which gave a modern feel and a lovely flow from one room to the other.- Meridith kept a 2-meter distance thought-out the viewing and I was so impressed how happy and informative she was. Great customer service.Thank you

GoogleAs students, I would never recommend letting through Martin&Co. Since we moved into the property in September we have felt completely ignored by the agency. We’ve been lied to about the furniture coming with the house and upon questioning we were told it was our problem to sort. When we first moved in there were about 10 different bins in our garden that hadn’t been removed which took them over a month to discard of, as well as a shopping trolley left in our back garden. Matting&co also tried to charge us for the boiler being re-pressurised within our first few days of living there which should’ve been done before we moved into the property. Upon request the agency gave us incorrect information as to whether or not there was a top up meter meaning we paid double the amount for bills for 2 months. When we first viewed the house back in 2021 we were told the house would be painted by the time we moved in. This has still only been partly completed with many failed attempts to finish while we have been present in the property. We were then led to believe it would be completed while we were away for Christmas as they said it would be the least inconvenient time for us, however, it has still not been done. To top all this off, our agent emailed to say there had been an error on our tenancy agreement they gave us to sign and we needed to move out after 10 months rather than 12. Then they said this was so that they could do work on the property and then they said that this was because they needed to tell the new tenants when they could move in. In all of this we have never felt like a priority to Martin&Co. Going through uni as well as dealing with all of this has been incredibly stressful. Do not rent through them if you’re students, they will try and take advantage of you.
Dear Charlotte, We did inform you all before you moved in that the redecoration was only partially completed, unfortunately our decorators didn't allow enough time to complete the work, and I personally went round to check on the work before Christmas to see if the work was satisfactory, which I agreed with you all that it wasn't. Removing items from the garden wasn't a priority job, so it took a little longer than expected. We only asked if you would prefer a 10-month tenancy rather than a 12-month tenancy (we were only giving you all the option), and it seems strange that you are complaining about this because you all stated that you would prefer a 10-month tenancy!?

As a new landlord who does not live in Bath, it was a relief to hand the management of my flat over to Martin & Co. I have found Claire and Brian to be super efficient and friendly, as well as very quick to respond to my enquiries. We've been through the process of one tenant leaving and the search for a new tenant, and it has gone very smoothly. Highly recommended.
