Gavin kept me updated regularly throughout the entire sales process and worked well with all solicitors involved. I liked the property on my first viewing thanks to Gavin personalising it 😊. Once we found what we liked, the speedy process enabled us to move in quicker than expected. In fact I had to delay one week which was no problem with Northwood. Very professional and punctual service through & through.

GoogleSeriously. I can not believe how utterly shocked I am right now to notice the property my husband and I are buying though this estate agency has today been re marketed without even telling us this was happening. We agreed a purchase price on the property in November 20, everything our end has been done through solicitors and mortgage valuation all done, we have been waiting very patiently ( I believe ) as sadly the owner of said property passed away late 2020 and we needed to wait for probate. ( not that the estate agency even let us know the owner had sadly passed away. We found out from our solicitor late January after we called to see if we could find out any possible dates for competition ). We hadn’t had any contact from Northwood for 3 months until last week when they called to say the executors now wanted more money as house prices have gone up but will give us first refusal and to have the bank holiday weekend to think about it as they wasn’t going to do anything about it until next week. I’ve had no call from Northwood at all to ask if we was happy to go ahead with the higher price ( I understand property has gone up but it’s not exactly our fault this has taken almost 6 months, we was ready in January ) as I understand probate hasn’t been granted yet anyway and no guarantee it will be anytime soon.I very much doubt anyone is going to reimburse us for the money we will lose for getting the purchase to the point we have ( ready to go ) with the solicitor. Im shocked at how unprofessional this estate agency is.NegativeResponsiveness

GoogleWell What can i say about Gavin and his Team at Northwood. Nothing other than a fantastically professional outfit. They actually never got to sell my house for me due to it being with someone else first. But do you know they never stopped supporting me though phone calls making sure i was being treated fairly by the other party. I cannot believe how above and beyond they were willing to go to support me. It goes to show that there are some really decent people still out there. GoogleApplied to rent a property from this company, a little slow to respond, understandable during the lockdown, then a couple of emails bounced between myself and a member of staff called Patience, the last email I received asked me if I would like to view the property of which I replied and agreed and asked how we would do this during the social distancing, of which it's two weeks later and I have had no response, now I would not rent from this company even if they offered me a house because if they can't be efficient in replying and booking a simple viewing then what are they going to be like if something's went wrong whilst in the property, so thank you for showing your true colours before I committed, oh and the property is still showing available now 👍😁

We find it disappointing that in your own words during these difficult times when you do not need to move immediately, you jump into the above conclusion without giving the agency an opportunity to provide a reason for the delay. Our staff member Patience has worked exceptionally hard during this period but we know while she is sorry that due to technical difficulties she could not get to you following initial correspondence, we are very proud of her dedication and commitment and she has already received so much praise for her efforts especially during the COVID period. We can also confirm that we have an applicant who is a key worker who requires to move immediately. On this occasion we are sorry that the experience did not meet your expectations in these current circumstances and hope you find a suitable property in the weeks to follow.

GoogleMy mum viewed a property which was under northwood, she was able to pay the deposit as well as willing to move within a week however the woman who was dealing with the renting was unprofessional and rude . She provided little to no information about the process and to top that off was really patronising. Although we were the first ones to view/ fill in the forms for the property, without informing us she accepted the deposit from another customer and told us last minute when we were nearly ready to move! Absolutely horrible service would not recommend.

We are sorry to learn of your disappointment at losing out on this property, but sadly we have had and continue to have suitable interested applicants who lose out on properties they like and while we appreciate that this can be frustrating, it happens all the time and it is beyond our control. It would be a very sorry situation if everyone who lost out on a property blamed the agent. We would like to point out that a number of viewings had been conducted prior to your mum’s viewing recently and ultimately we have to put all interested applicants before the owners of our properties to make a decision on who they choose to go with. While we know we cannot please everybody, the team at Northwood take pride in going over and above in helping every customer that comes our way. We have also checked email and telephone correspondences with your mum and at no point was our colleague rude to her and even went out of her way to recommend similar properties available if she was interested.
