My experience with Oyster Properties has just been absolutely shocking. After viewing a property and receiving the tenancy agreement, I complied with all of the necessary applications. Provided my references and proof of ID documentation. This process which takes weeks. I paid a holding fee of £240 for the property and was told all was okay. After the advert stated no deposit available, I was asked for a guarantor which I do not have or to pay a deposit and two or THREE months rent up front. I explained I would pay 2 months money. I then was ignored for over a week, both emails and phone calls. I spoke to the receptionist everyday for a week straight and was promised a call back from a member of staff and then the manager. I did not hear from anybody. I then looked online to see they were re-advertising the same property I had paid £240 for them to hold (they did not tell me they were re-advertising!) I then received the news via EMAIL after not hearing from anybody, that they had cancelled my tenancy and wanted to refund the money. 2 weeks before I was suppose to move in. All I can say is I am speechless. Moving is such a stressful process and this had made it 100x worse. Judging by the reviews, this company will only respond to those who are selling houses/making them a lot of money. They definitely discriminate against those trying to help themselves and find accommodation.

I am with this agency since 2019. Also during the pandemic , they were very understanding and helpful. Kumar is really helpful when you need to find a house. Always answered my questions and is very patient. Whenever we had issues for maintenance or repairs always very prompt.Overall , we are really happy with Oyster Properties.

I had a positive renting experience…

I had a positive renting experience through Oyster properties. In my dealings with Gemma, I found that she was very professional and pleasant and prompt in responding. The landlord tried to increase the rent after we had verbally agreed a rate but she intervened.The property was in good condition and the landlord was otherwise reasonable. Deposit was returned with no issues, though I did have the place properly cleaned before leaving. I did not have issues with maintenance so I did not have to deal with maintenance staff, which seems to be one of the areas that other reviewers were concerned about.

We approached Oyster Properties as we had a property that had been vacant for almost three months following refurbishment with another agent failing to let the property during their exclusivity period. Luckily, Umit from Oyster Properties was absolutely fantastic from the point of initially marketing the property right up to the point of the new tenants moving in. We were kept informed of any potentially suitable applicants throughout the process, with detailed profiles provided and professional advice given in an incredibly articulate and informative manner. Oyster is just BRILLIANT! Last yr they managed to get me a rent increase. They have looked after my flat for a while. During lockdown it was completely full, I’ve had no voids in over 6 yrs. what oyster do is brilliant marketing & they do so in good enough time, prospective tenants are properly referenced so I’ve never had a problem not even late rent, They manage the flat brilliantly, they provide access to 3rd parties meaning I can get on with other work, As a result of their brilliant management & my increased cash flow which is consistent & timely I’ve been able to leverage the rental income to buy another property with Oyster assisting me & providing access for surveys etc. thank you very much oyster for your excellent work. It is my pleasure to provide feedback about Oyster Properties Estate & Letting Agents in Arnos Grove, Southgate. As a newcomer to the UK, it was our first experience renting a flat, which was provided by the Arnos Grove office. I want to say their attitude is professional, and a gentleman named Kumar introduced our flat to us. He was really supportive and quick to respond to any inquiry. He was very patient in answering our questions because there were so many differences between my home country and UK regulations and procedures for renting. The flat needed some maintenance when we moved in, and we raised these issues, which they helped us resolve. In one instance, the front door lock malfunctioned, and we were stuck inside the flat. These guys are awful

These guys are awful. They are not helpful, they do not help fix issues. I have been a tenant with this agency for 2 years, any problems they request to log in the portal, and then they just close the ticket withouit notice. Anytime I ring up for answers it is always a rude person who doesn't want to hear the issue or help. Consistently not providing the service to tenants as they are required to do. I do not have good experience dealing with this agency.

I used Oyster to manage a property as I didn't live nearby and needed someone to help get it ready for sale. They were amazing and went above and beyond. Nothing was too difficult a d they arranged anything I needed from house clearance, gardening work, deep cleaning, electrics, sorting post. My partner and I were going from a house share to a 2 bed flat. Previously, we had not been impressed with the way some lettings agents had rushed viewings or had arranged other potential clients to view the property at the same time, but Oyster really impressed us. Umit was punctual, allowed us to take our time viewing the property and was very warm personally. All questions were answered (if he did not know, he didn't pretend, found out and got back to us in a timely fashion). Bought buy to let with tenants so more complex than normal but Sarju was excellent with options available to us to make informed decisions. Their products are simple easy to understand when it comes to offering rent protection which I really liked as appose to an underwritten policy by insurance company, we know what’s covered which in turn helped make our decision making easier. An astounding and excellent service from start to finish. I dealt with Manesh of Oyster properties who has demonstrated an impressive level of competence and professionalism in the areas that should matter to anyone trying to sell their property especially in challenging market conditions. I was trying to sell a 2 bed flat in North London, and after talking to Manesh and some other national agents, I originally fell for the sales tricks of a national brand who led me to believe I can get a very goodmprice for my property... I didn't realise I was ignoring the true expert! Having wasted 4 months, I decided to change and go with Manesh.
