GoogleDisappointing service and lack of transparency from start to finish. After many months with Your Move Dumfries, we removed our property from the market due to a deeply disappointing level of service throughout the sales process. While I understand that property sales can fall through and buyers can change their minds, the core issue here was not the outcome, but the repeated misinformation, poor communication, and lack of transparency from the agency. At the outset, we were given clear assurances regarding proactive management, communication, and buyer qualification in order to secure our instruction. Unfortunately, those assurances were not met at any stage of the process. Throughout the sale, we had to repeatedly chase for basic updates and were given information that later proved to be inaccurate or incomplete. Key aspects of the chain were not clearly communicated, and at times we were operating on assumptions that turned out to be wrong. This lack of clarity directly affected our ability to make informed decisions and created unnecessary stress, uncertainty, and financial risk during an already pressured period. The handling of the chain felt reactive rather than actively managed. We also experienced inconsistent communication between staff members and were informed of comments and updates during the process that were, in our view, inappropriate and unprofessional to be passed on to clients. Ultimately, we lost confidence that our sale was being properly managed or that our position as the seller was being protected. While individual members of staff were polite in their interactions, the overall service delivery fell well below a reasonable professional standard.

GoogleReally good experience from start to finish. Although our house has been valued and we’re not quite ready to sell yet, the service and advice we received were excellent. Very knowledgeable, professional, and took the time to explain everything clearly without any pressure. We really appreciated the honest guidance and would definitely recommend.

Our selling agent, Chris, was very helpful and responsive to any queries we had, and the girls in the office, especially Kerra, who we dealt with most, were always friendly, approachable, and extremely helpful. GoogleWe recently sold our home and purchased our dream family home, and the whole process was handled brilliantly from start to finish. Selling our property was incredibly quick, and despite the usual stresses that come with buying and selling at the same time, everything was managed professionally, efficiently, and with decent communication throughout. We were always kept up to date and any questions we had were answered promptly, which gave us real peace of mind. Buying our dream home felt like a huge milestone for our family, and we genuinely couldn’t have asked for better support during the process. What could have been a very overwhelming experience was made so much smoother thanks to the hard work, dedication, and expertise of everyone involved. Lorna met us at the property initially and was very informative, friendly and helpful in advising on all aspects of advertising the property and deciding on a selling price. She was very proactive and kept us up to date at every step during the process. Katie was also very professional and friendly and full of advice on how she would secure the best offer for our property. GoogleRecently sold our property with Your Move Glenrothes. Initial meeting to discuss marketing was with Lisa Conroy and subsequent visits/ viewings were conducted with Sophie and Josie. Nothing was too much bother for this team of lovely ladies - from changing photos on the schedule to explaining some of the ‘solicitor speak’ They even stepped in to assist when we were having communication issues with the solicitor. To say they kept us sane throughout the process would be an understatement. Always friendly, always attentive to any issues, and, always validated our concerns. This team go above and beyond what can be reasonably expected from an estate agency, a real credit to the industry! Cannot thank Sophie, Lisa and Josie enough for all their assistance.
