I believe I've been more than patient, but now it's been 3 weeks of no hot water. DO NOT IGNORE THESE REVIEWS. We're not joking, this place has not been providing us with hot water for 3 weeks and the attitude of the higher management is DISGRACEFUL. They do NOT care about their tenants at all. It's December, I have to catch a flight tomorrow and I can't have a hot shower and wash my hair in my ''PREMIUM'' accomodation. It's been 3 WEEKS with maybe 2 days when we had kind-of-warm water during these 3 weeks. Fortis refuses to acknowledge our complaints and says they fixed the problem and deny it still exists despite everyone saying the water is ICE COLD. They simply don't care. They keep giving us excuses and saying they've fixed the issue but we can't see any results. They also refuse to give out any compensation because we can't ''prove that the issue affected us financially with a bank statement''. Are you joking? We are supposed to prove that THEM NOT PROVIDING us with hot water has affected us FINANCIALLY to be due compensation? What a joke. Other than that, the cinema does NOT work. We've been told it's going to be fixed ASAP, it's not been working for more than 10 months. No Sky TV. I received the room in a horrible state, NO SHOWER HEAD, and I couldn't log in faults I found into the online inventory cause their website did not work, so now they're probably gonna expect me to pay for the ruined mirror, stained mattress, etc., things that were this way when I moved in! Rooms look okay and the location is great. That's all the positives. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

I lived here for a year. To begin with, a studio flat (double room with double bed) was advertised, I paid for this only to discover upon moving into the flat that it was actually a double room with 3/4 bed, I tried to resolve this issue but was told by the manager, Gaynor, that there was nothing she could do unless I wanted to pay more money for another room. I decided not to get into an argument with the management and remained in the room with 3/4 bed. The rooms are of very good standard, I sometimes had issues with the facilities but these were promptly rectified. All in all, the manager at this building, the head office management were difficult to communicate with. After my tenancy, I had to follow up my deposit refund for almost 2 months. Money was deducted from my deposit for alleged marks on the mattress from my tenancy. The calls I made and emails I sent to the company to help come to a resolution were largely ignored. Overall, the service at this accommodation is terrible and I think this is common with accommodations with students, especially international students. I still can’t understand how one pays so much money and can’t be treated fairly and given adequate service. I will not be living here again, I won’t advice friends and family to live here either.

I was going to take an accommodation here. But then I saw horrible images and the comments on the website. I will definitely not be booking a years stay at Chronicle House.

DONT COME LIVE HERE. I'm here since October and we've had two big floods, a fire, a leak for TWO months in my room... The list goes on and on, and when you try to complain nobody answers and then they deny the things. They laugh in our faces. More things: no warm water at all for two weeks and still not properly fixed, damp in rooms, already broken and dirty things when we moved in, the small gym out of service several times and for long periods...

IT IS A SCAM. Really bad experience. Fire in the gym. Waterflood on groundfloor, leak in the gym, leak in the corridor, leak in our room, no hot water for weeks, and the list goes on. No explenation, no compensation, not even an apology after something goes wrong. This company runs its scam for his residences in other cities as well, feel free to do some research on other social media and news papers before you make a really bad decision.
