Very Happy in Our New Home

We are delighted with our William Davis home on Wellington Place. This is the first brand new house we have purchased and we'd heard so many horror stories about their experiences with other builders so we were a little reticent of buying brand new. The customer service has been second to none. Snagging problems (nothing serious!) have been dealt with quickly and efficiently by the lovely employees that have been with the firm for 20+ years (that's got to be saying something about the company!). We would thoroughly recommend them.

I couldn’t recommend William Davis enough! We are first time buyers and although we knew nothing and felt very daunted going into the buying process we were made to feel at instant ease with them. Marie Clitheroe helped us step by step and no ask was too big! She is warm and friendly as well as extremely knowledgeable and efficient! She was very quick to respond to any questions and kept us updated and informed the whole way through. The house was ready exactly when they initially told us which is unheard of for new builds! The house itself was beyond our expectations and we couldn’t find one fault! The attention to detail is fantastic and it is very clear to see why the company are rated so highly! Overall couldn’t be happier!

Excellent experience buying our new build home with William Davis. From reservation, to choices, completion and post- purchase, all staff we have met with have been great. Our sales agent was Marie (Prince’s Place) who was fantastic in explaining the process to us. We wouldn’t hesitate to buy another William Davis home again as the quality is excellent and there are a lot of things included such as turf, flooring and window coverings which other builders don’t offer which make the moving process much easier.We have had a few issues with the house which have been raised at our 6-month snag check list. These are currently being sorted and Vicky’s (customer service) communication to resolve these has been great.

5 stars from me! From the day we walked into the showroom, to the complexity of buying a house over Covid. Marie and the team made buying our first home a breeze, answering all my many questions via email, guiding and advising us (incl which plot to buy, we couldn't be happier with the choice recommended). Plots are bigger than what we have experienced in other developments, not crammed in. We received an early booking incentive of soft furnishings and love our carpers, blinds & curtains, great quality. Any issues that happened, were fixed promptly professionally and with ease. Would recommend them as a new build company and for first homes. I love that we still have such a good communication with Marie, I know any issues we can go to her and she can advise and cares, makes a huge difference, she is a gem!

PRINCES GATE - THE WILLIAM DAVIS NEW BUILD HOME EXPERIENCE

My wife and I recently moved to Radcliffe on Trent from Berkshire to be near our Son.We looked at both existing and New Build housing within a 10 mile radius of the village.We eventually decided to go for a New Build house.We looked at various sites and after an exhaustive search chose a medium sized quality home builder, William Davis Homes.Following visits to the on site Sales Office we came away assured that we had chosen the right home builder.We were introduced to both Marie and subsequently Carol.Over a period of time Marie and Carol proved to be very helpful and made our job of choosing the right type of home easy and trouble free.We had a house to sell so tying up the Sale with the purchase of a New Build house was not going to be easy.It transpired they both had an excellent grasp of the housing market which helped us through the difficult task of Selling and Buying at the same time.We paid a reservation fee in order to secure our desired plot.Prior to exchange of contracts we were invited to view the build progress of our new house which was an exciting experience for us.We were very impressed by the high quality of the build. A second viewing was made prior to completion of our house Sale.On our “Move " day we were given the keys to our new home together with a folder which contained important documents relevant to the house and instruction manuals for all the appliances built into the house.Various appointments were made for demonstrations to made by electricians, plumbers, and alarm technicians.In line with all New Build properties there were snagging issues. These were dealt with very quickly.The builder provides a 2 year customer service agreement designed to resolve any future issues.All the on site managers and staff have been very helpful with any issues we have raised.My wife and I have no hesitation in recommending William Davis Homes to other prospective buyers.

A brilliant company!

My family started our journey part exchanging our home with a William Davis home in May of 2022. We had a fantastic experience with the sales team at the Wellington Place branch, and have nothing but praise.We had a few snags with our solicitors along the way but William Davis did everything they could to make the process as smooth as possible. We moved into our new WD home in August 2022 and have loved it. The build quality and finish is excellent, and whatever small problems we’ve had (which any home would have) have been resolved. The after care has been prompt, the site manager has been fantastic, and the sales ladies are still wonderful when we get the joy of interacting with them. Would thoroughly recommend buying a William Davis property, don’t hesitate to part exchange either if it is an option-took the hassle out of selling!

Very positive experience

We have recently moved into our new home at Princes Place Radcliffe on Trent and are extremely happy. The whole process of purchasing our new home was made stress free thanks to Marie and Carol who are the onsite sales team, We mainly dealt with Marie who is a credit to the Company as she represents the company in a very professional and efficient manner whilst also being very considerate with regard to the purchasers' wishes and needs. When Marie was not on site Carol was also very helpful. As with any newbuild property there were minor issues which were speedily dealt with. Having purchased newbuild properties before we have been very impressed with the quality of the kitchen and bathroom fittings. On purchasing other newbuild properties we have had to pay for garden fencing, alarm systems etc - all standard with William Davis. Even a doorbell has been fitted, The carpets and blinds package was a very welcome bonus, we would really recommend William Davis homes.

William Davis Homes, Wellington Place Market Harborough - Outstanding build quality and customer service.As soon as we entered the house, we knew this was the house we wanted. The attention to detail was excellent, from the great room layout, to simple points like the Hive controllers, meant that we could move in, position our furniture and just relax.After our first-year anniversary we are still totally delighted with our decision to buy our home at Wellington Place. The excellent customer service continues, from our first sales contact to resolving any tiny snags right away.We have landscaped the garden, decorated some of the rooms and have never questioned our decision to buy a William Davis Home.Market Harborough itself, is a fantastic Market Town: we have enjoyed 12 of the many restaurants and visited 5 bars and cocktail houses. We love our new home!

We absolutely love our new home at Princes Place in Radcliffe-on-Trent. After a bad experience with moving in to our previous new build property, we thought long and hard about whether another new build was a good idea but William Davis have completely changed our perspective! We had excellent customer service from Marie and Carol. They kept us informed at every opportunity with the sales process, which went on forever as our chain was broken on several occasions. We got a great feeling about William Davis since we visited site for the first time and we're so glad we made the decision to move here.The standard and quality of the build is outstanding and having everything included was a massive bonus for us! We paid thousands in extras when purchasing our old house with another builder, even to have turf in our garden but William Davis include all sorts of helpful extras, such as Hive heating and an outdoor tap for convenience. The excellent customer service continues after you move in and they genuinely care about putting the tiny snags right as soon as possible.We have already recommended to all of our friends and we love our home.Thank you WD! 😊

Sold the dream but it was all rubbish.

We wouldn't recommend a house built by William Davis Homes. The sales pitch is all about using high end materials and appliances but the reality is far from what we were told. The walls are mainly studded and paper thin so useless for hanging items. The kitchen appliances don't wash things properly, especially on low heat settings so not so energy efficient as billed. Same for toilets which need a second flush to do the job. Considering that this is a new build the house is already very cold and damp so we're dreading when the colder days arrive. Overall very disappointed with what we've got for our money.

Economical with materials and very economical with the truth

These homes are nothing like what we thought we were buying.We wish we had taken more notice of the numerous poor reviews as they were definitely right. Talking to neighbours on the development, many are having similar issues with shoddy standards and are very disappointed with their homes. Several are having drainage problems, water getting into their homes and some have already got damp problems.The construction of the houses is very poor, workmen are extremely rude and their workmanship is terrible.I expected some disruption living on a building site but the amount of mud, dust and noise is ridiculous.
