Aimee provided exceptional service right from the beginning, which was of paramount importance to us. Her presence has been a tremendous source of comfort, and her guidance has been invaluable in going though this complex process. Her expertise and knowledge played a key role in making the entire experience successful. From all the agencies I have rented flats, this is the worst without a doubt. From hiding the landlord important things that he should’ve know, to treating the tenants really poorly, to not helping us and wanting to keep all the deposit (we claimed and after someone from outside the agency checked it we won the case) Biggest scam ever.

Horrible experience

For anyone who wishes to conduct business with Truepennys, ensure you check that white goods are in working order, request a clean as you may end up with a filthy flat, check fixtures in kitchen and bathroom and the integrity of the walls and flooring before proceeding.

Would never recommend this agency, I am taking based on my own experience with Mariem; she is not willing to help the tenants and hide a lot of things from the landlord too. It is disgusting to deal with people like this, that don’t want to work or help their clients.

Hi Marta, I have looked into this matter before responding. Mariem is a very highly regarded property manager with many years experience, your review is libellous, misdirected and unacceptable. Truepenny’s have no involvement in the issue you have raised! Your security deposit was lodged with the Deposit Protection Service (DPS)- an independent, government approved scheme. The deposit return is still ongoing with the DPS. According to the 3rd party check-in and check-out reports, the flat was returned to the landlord in a state that was a lot worse than how it was received. In section 2.28 of your tenancy agreement it states that you should take precautions to keep the property in the same condition as you found it. This has been explained to all parties in various emails and several phone calls. Section 1.25 of your tenancy agreement states that deposit monies owed will be refunded to the lead tenant. You must understand that even though you are three individual people, the law in the UK treats the tenant/s as ‘jointly and severally liable’ which means that you are essentially one. I understand that there have been issues between you and your co-tenants. They need to be resolved between yourselves, it is your responsibility to come to an agreement. Giving us a one-star reviews is an incredible shame, it is misguided frustration at the wrong party.

We listed our flat and started looking for a new home late last summer…unaware we were just weeks away from this really turbulent phase for the housing market. I’m glad we were with Truepennies because - as a local independent - it was clear from the off that they had so much understanding of the area. They didn’t just list our flat, they helped us find our new one, too. Everyone in the Dulwich office is so friendly and helpful and they really listen to you, so they know exactly what you’re looking for. Our sale and purchase had some added layers of complexity and I have to say that it was all resolved amicably, largely thanks to Wallace’s uncanny negotiating skills. I strongly suspect birds in trees have to hold on tight when he walks by! But seriously, Wallace, Connor, Alex and Erika and everyone else behind the scenes make up a great team, and I feel very lucky to have gone through this process with them. Thanks, Truepenny’s.

Valencia has been our property manager with Truepennys and has been consistently helpful and professional. I have been using the services of True Penny to manage my rented property. I am very happy with their services as they are always communicative of any issues and keep/advice on best course of actions when needed. I've had a great experience renting with Truepenny's so far. There was a maintenance issue with the flat on the morning of my move in and the whole team rushed to get it resolved within a few hours. Madison in particular has been super friendly and helpful. Thanks to the team, highly recommend!

But this time i have received an excellent service from Ms Astha Patel . She has dealt with all the admin paperwork required promptly and delivered hard copies of the various documents when requested .
