We just moved into our new flat with Truepennys and Anna was superb throughout the process. She responded swiftly and answered all questions we had - even out of hours! Looking forward to getting settled in.

Me and my partner were looking for a flat in London, we used Truepennys to support us during the search and for the offer process for one of our favourite flats. We ended up signing a contract for another place, but the support we received from Madison and John was so good; they were easy to reach, communicative; they answere all our questions quickly and in a very helpful way. If we ever look for another place, we'll definitely reach out to them again!

Anna was incredibly helpful when showing me a property I was interested in purchasing. I was somewhat unfamiliar with the area, so it was very refreshing to hear another woman's honest perspective on it r.e. safety and good nightlife spots.

Terrible experience, terrible estate agent. Stole part of our deposit on a technicality about professional cleaning. We paid ~£450 for a professional cleaning (this was stipulated in the contract) on the day of move out, yet they still took a large part of our deposit due to the cleaning being done before we moved out. Common sense would tell you that it would be impossible to let the cleaners in after moving out. However the great minds at truepennys evidently lack this basic skill. Maybe Mariem or Valencia could shed some light on this.... But good luck getting a reply out of either of them. In the end, after lots of back and forth with the DPS, we were able to recover around half of the money Truepennys falsely claimed from our deposit.

For clarity, the deposit dispute relating to this tenancy was referred to the independent Deposit Protection Service for adjudication. Having considered the evidence submitted by both parties, the DPS adjudicator found that the cleanliness of the property had deteriorated during the tenancy and that the tenants were liable for additional cleaning. An award was therefore made, with the balance of the disputed cleaning claim returned because the adjudicator considered that awarding the full amount would have constituted betterment. The outcome was determined independently by the DPS. It was not a decision by Truepenny’s simply to retain deposit monies. We fully respect your right to express dissatisfaction with your experience, but any suggestion that Truepenny’s dishonestly or improperly retained the deposit is rejected. For reasons of confidentiality, we will not discuss further details of the tenancy publicly.

Disgusting estate agent. They stole part of our deposit in regards to professional cleaning job. We paid around £450 for a professional cleaning job (this was included in the contract) on the day of moving out, and they still took a large part of our deposit due to the cleaning being done before we moved out. Truepennys, feel free to deny this, because I know you will, but we will just attach another review with evidence. So I suggest you don’t even try it. But, they got part of it back to us, just under half the money! Amazing, thanks truepennys!! Oh and by the way, Mariem and Valencia are some of the most useless, rude agents ever. In fact, she even shouted at us down the phone when we asked some simple questions. All in all, DO NOT go with these estate agents. They are awful. Thanks :)

We must correct the serious allegation in this review that Truepenny’s “stole” any part of your deposit. The cleaning deduction was referred to the independent Deposit Protection Service for adjudication. Having considered the evidence submitted by both parties, including the tenancy agreement, independent check-in and checkout reports and your cleaning receipt, the adjudicator found that the cleanliness of the property had deteriorated during the tenancy and that the tenants were liable for additional cleaning. An award was therefore made in respect of the cleaning claim. The balance was returned because the adjudicator considered that awarding the full amount would have constituted betterment given the condition of the property at the start of the tenancy. It is therefore inaccurate to describe the outcome as Truepenny’s having “stolen” money, or to suggest that the claim was rejected as false or decided merely on a technicality concerning when your cleaners attended. We must also correct the suggestion that our team failed to respond. Our contemporaneous correspondence records repeated assistance with the DPS process, for which you thanked our team on several occasions. You are of course entitled to express dissatisfaction with your experience. However, an allegation that Truepenny’s stole money is a serious allegation of dishonesty which we wholly reject. For reasons of confidentiality, we will not discuss any further details of the tenancy publicly.

I’ve just read Truepennys response to my previous review. Their response is empty and their claims have no basis. I stand by what I said. Whatever you do, do not work with this agency. They only mean trouble. There are plenty of other estate agents much more reputable and safe compared to them. Peace out ✌️

I live in New York and had to sell my apartment in Greenwich. John and his team helped us to sell. The level of service, engagement and professionalism is exceptional. I highly recommend to work with John and his team if you're doing any property purchases or sales in London.

Hi Elena, Really sorry to see your review. I’ve looked into this and understand that you’re hoping to view one of the properties we currently have available to rent and are waiting for the tenants' confirmation to gain access. I appreciate that how frustrating it can be when you’re keen to arrange a viewing. Unfortunately, we do need to work around the tenants’ availability. Please be assured that we’re doing our best to arrange this and we’ll be in touch with you as soon as we’re able to confirm a viewing. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Professional and very friendly service. Managed to rent out my property with them and no problems so far. Highly competitive fee structure and much fairer than I saw with other companies. Chloe, Bhav and the team managed to find a great tenant within a week of posting the ad. Thanks guys hope it continues to go well.

I had such a positive experience with Truepennys and honestly couldn’t recommend them enough. The whole team were incredibly friendly, helpful and supportive throughout, and always made me feel like I was in safe hands. They were responsive, professional and genuinely went the extra mile to make everything as smooth and stress free as possible, anything that needed fixing it was done immediately. Thank you to everyone at Truepennys, especially Laura and Georgia-Lee!! it was truly appreciated!!! David :)

I would genuinely recommend using Truepenny’s Charlton if you want to sell your property. From the initial valuation (which was much more realistic that other overly inflated figures from other estate agents) the service by the team in the Charlton branch was excellent. We were trying to sell our flat in an already difficult market but Bhavi and David secured many viewings over the summer and finally an offer was made. The team were always available to help and nudge things along. I’d happily use them again.

I've recently bought my first home through Truepenny's in Charlton. Through the process of viewing properties I've met a good few estate agents and I have to say David at Truepenny's came across as the most honest and straightforward. No estate agent script or nonsense, no opening of cupboard doors and saying "look you've got a cupboard" (I've seriously had that before) and most importantly, no BS. I also thought the staff at Truepenny's went the extra mile, having seen the property online over the weekend I called the office on a Monday morning and they did a viewing the same day. And finally I was flying by a wing and a prayer at times to get everything across the line and I appreciated David's patience in all of that. I can highly recommend Truepenny's and would certainly use them if I was to sell or rent out my home in the future.

Truly the worst service one could experience from an estate agent. John and Mariem were extremely unreasonable, obstinate and down right rude. Refused to request items from the landlord like removing furniture and allowing keys to be returned early at end of tenancy. Our boiler broke on one of the coldest days in winter and we had to quote the unfit for habitation act before they responded to my requests to send someone to fix.

We don’t have enough words to express our gratitude to Connor and his team for everything they did to help us get through a very difficult time and a property sale for our family. We worked with them over the course of many months after we lost a family member very suddenly, and we had to solve multiple complex issues all at once, with which they were an invaluable resource and help to us. Our property sale had a very happy ending with a wonderful buyer and they took care of so many aspects of the property along the way to the finish line. We will be forever thankful to Connor and his team for their kindness, guidance and expertise!

We were having a bad experience with another estate agent in Peckham to try and sell our property, so we reached out to Connor who immediately jumped in to help offer their opinion and advice. They weren't pushy at all, and it felt like they were really looking to help us rather than force a quick sale. We would definitely recommend for a really supportive and helpful estate agent.

The relentless patients of the East Dulwich team is exceptional and I would like to thank Connor and all the staff who assisted with our difficult sale. Nothing was ever too much trouble and they had no problems finding buyers! So Thank you all, I am truly grateful. A big thanks to Trudi in particular for holding it all together! 👏👏
