Poor craftsmanship and customer…
Poor craftsmanship and customer service. I have now been living in my home for two years and finally have the funds to repair the botched jobs done from the builders. To start when we moved in we chose to install our own flooring and we had plastic and dirt left all over the floor despite being told they had a ‘professional cleaner’ in. We had several snags such as:Poor painting almost everywhere - skirting boards looked as though the brush was dipped in sand. Dents all over the walls.Toilet seats were broken - someone came to fix them then they broke again. Leaking shower screen - this was repaired multiple times and still leaked and has now ruined my flooringBroken electrical sockets.Poor grout in shower - never fixedEven though we had tradesmen come out to fix some of these issue they weren’t to a good standard and I have ended up having to fix things myself.Overall I would not buy again with the poor finish. A new build home has no excuse to be done poorly so please sort this out!

Very very bad customer service and house quality
I've moved in for almost 3 years, 6 months ago my neighbor told me that my house was not installed with an air vent in the external wall, as I also saw that most of the houses have been installed with an air vent. Therefore I contacted TW to fix this problem.Even though my 2-year guarantee has been expired, this is one of the specification required and should have been installed before the contract completion. But TW refused to fix this problem for me, the customer service agent called Lamara who is very irresponsible, she takes ages to reply emails and shirks her responsibility, this is not the first time I dealt with her.The last time I asked her to help to fix a small piece of damage tiles inside my en-suite bathroom, it took 1 year finally to get the job done. I feel very bad to this company and the customer service
We're sorry that this has been your experience with us. We have passed your feedback to the regional team to ensure contact is made. Ruby

Disgusting customer service
Disgusting customer service, the basics of human decency have been long forgotten with thisMoney grabbing bunch. Avoid them if at all possible there are better house builders and for sure you will get better customer service from rats although I feel that may be insulting to rats - avoid if you want to be treated like a human being or kept informed - I mean it’s only the biggest purchase you ever make after all - if slap dash service with linden homes always winning then go for it - if not avoid at all costs - totally disgusted with this company.

Helpful staff from start to end of…
Helpful staff from start to end of buying/moving in process. Good support once moved in as well. We didn't have a perfect buying process but I don't think any house purchase goes without a few bumps. This was mainly due to a new member of staff who didn't seem to know the process so we missed out on selecting some extras and I assume Linden missed out on extra income. The replacement sales staff were excellent. Regardless, the property was built and completed on time. The site team aftercare has been good, despite a number of minor snags to be resolved. You have to expect snags on any new build and equally have to expect disruption when they are fixed.

Beware
Beware. If you have issues then customer services do not want to help. I had to top my boiler up for the past year or so, and I thought nothing of it as there was no visible leaks, until I noticed that the pipework in the tank cupboard was leaking. Phoned customer services up and it was agreed with one woman that although I was out of warranty by 6 weeks they would send a plumber round. Rang back next day as I hadn't heard anything, to be told they're doing nothing as its out of warranty. Another problem is that my front door has been hitting the frame since we moved in, and they have been out to it 3 times to try and fix it, which works temporarily then it goes back to hitting the frame again, you can see in the photos that the door isn't square in the frame. But as I'm outside of the two year warranty now no one wants to know. I have fixed the leaking pipe myself, because Linden are too rubbish to help a customer over the sake of 6 weeks outside of warranty. The door, I guess I'll have to pay for someone to come and fit one properly so it doesn't hit the door frame.

Appalling! Avoid from every angle!!!
Nothing but problems since day one! Even a site manager told us he wouldn't live in this house!!! Been here over a year now and still having works and repairs done. It's an absolute shambles! Over 2 page list of problems with it! No one takes responsibility or liability for anything what so ever ... Absolutely shocking. Hated living here since day one!

Really friendly and helpful people who put me at ease from the start and went above and beyond to make sure everything went right.Really happy with the house and the estate is lovely as well. You can tell Ben, Jack and Karl are really customer focussed and want the estate and the homes to be great for the customers, and its shown in the build quality and the success of the estate. Fantastic team on kirkletham…
In buying a linden home on kirkletham green, I have found the whole experience great, Ben jack, Karl and kev have been helpful from start to finish, yes we have had snags to get completed but that was to be expected, but working together we have solved most, we had no internet for 6 weeks (due to open reach) but Ben and Jack let us use there dongle for the whole time. Nothing is too much trouble. If I was to put a suggestion forward for the company it would be to have a team of work people who can do your snags when your home but when you work Monday to Friday this is not the case at the moment. Ben jack Karl and kev keep doing what your doing and thank you for making our move into our forever home a good decision.

Uncontrollable leak in our new build
After logging a leak coming through our bay window in our new build on 2nd November, we’re still waiting for a repair. No contractor has been sent out to attend the leak and we now have water pooling in through our ceiling, pulling off the plaster and damaging our floor. What can I say - their team are helpful when they’re on site and want you to rate them highly in their customer satisfaction surveys. But when there’s a real issue, their customer service team aren’t exactly responsive. I sat on hold for over an hour to the out of hours emergency line and no answer.

Willow Woods, Ely
Just moved into the new Willow Woods development in Ely. Very happy with our home. Damien & the sales team have been great and the Site Manager Mike is super helpful, considerate and professional. Couple of small snags but nothing major and house looks great. Knocked off a star for how Head Office handled an issue with our part exchange. I thought that was cheap of them and we nearly pulled out but glad we didn’t as love the house and the area. Fingers crossed the love continues, will update if it doesn’t but for now, we would definitely recommend.

Manor View East Grinstead 4-bed
Manor View East Grinstead 4-bedOverall we are very happy with the new home. The quality of the build is very good. We had it inspected by a 3rd party and though there are some minor snags, there are no major issues. We've been in for 3 weeks now. Linden have been in touch and proactive on any issues so far.We love the house and compared to what we viewed prior to this it is about 10% cheaper than others we looked at in the same area and much better with an incredible view.Customer service initially was not good at all. Mainly that e-mails and phone calls never got answered, Donna would not answer my calls and never answered my e-mails. I would have to go into the sales office on site on most occasions. However, since Alex arrived in the office, she always comes back to me and has been very helpful. Clive, the Site Manager is also great - both are a pleasuer to deal with.We are first-time buyers, being a new build under construction when we exchanged was unusual but we got to chose all our own features and extras and are really happy with the result.

Worst property and service
The quality of the property I bought from LH is awful, worst one I’ve ever seen. Never buy from them, customer service was good in the beginning, once you changed your contract, no anyone replies you anymore. Site manager is just a liar who can do nothing for thousands snagging issues.Don’t buy from them, don’t trust them, they just wants your money.

BUYERS BEWARE!!
We bought a Langdale which was supposed to be our house of our dreams. From the time we moved in we had water pouring into our double garage, the two main chimney stacks had to be replaced which meant stripping off half of the roof and even then when they were installed the new chimney stacks were the wrong colour! The SVP’s and air extraction ducts to both the bathroom, ground floor WC and en suite discharged open ended into the roof space causing condensation and strong smells. There was loft insulation missing over the bathroom ceiling. Dentils stuck on with Dow Corning on the eaves. Rubble down the cavity walls. The garden had little or no top soil and it was full of builders rubble ie: bricks, blocks, timber, pipes etc..so much so that you couldn’t even get a spade or fork into the ground. The bay window roof was a second off another project. A sub-contractor stained our landing carpet and it had to be replaced at our own expense because the contractor denied doing it. The site manager was arrogant and economical with the truth at all stages throughout the contract and the senior site manager was unbelievably even worse. The whole experience made both my partner and I ill and it nearly destroyed our partnership. We wouldn’t have another TW new build even if it was given it to us for free. They are a cart load of monkeys only concerned about making bonuses, meeting build programmes and satisfying shareholders. BUYERS BEWARE! The only good thing in all of this was that after numerous phone calls, nagging, and emails we did eventually get the work done. However if the work had been inspected and checked properly then we wouldn’t of had such grief and heartache.
Thank you for your review, Malcolm. We're sorry to read that this was your experience with us but I am glad that the issues were resolved for you. We take feedback such as this seriously and we're grateful you took the time to post this.Paul

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!
If you can afford it, save yourself the pain of moving into a cheap property built with cheap materials and cheap labour. 6 months into our new property and still battling for snags to be looked at.
We're sorry that this has been your experience. We have passed your feedback to the regional office to ensure contact is made.Ruby

Very poor workmanship
Very poor workmanship, roof coping units not installed correctly, to many of the homes on our development and fell off damaging homes and cars. Drive been laid 3 times, 4 years after moving road's not finished, foul drains frequently blocking. Sales staff gave incorrect information, giving incorrect details what would be provided on the development
We have passed on your feedback the regional office to ensure contact is made early next week. We are sorry that this has been your experience. Ruby

Absolutely terrible company
Absolutely terrible company. The work is average at best. The customer services are awful. We have had approximately 35 days of work completed on our house with snags, all of which are bodges and usually fail multiple times. Do not use this home builder.

Do not trust taylor wimpy
I have been in my house just over 1 year and I am still having ongoing issues. I have been mislead and lied to by the customer service team and also feel like I’ve been scammed after paying a lot of money for a house on what is supposed to be a “5 star development” they have used terrible quality carpet which they admitted to being faulty and lifting from the backing and agreed to replace it. They replaced the carpet and within a month the same issue started happening again but this time they have said it’s not their problem and won’t do anything to help. Now in every single room the carpet has lifted and bubbles all over which you wouldn’t expect from a new home. After speaking to our neighbours it seems almost everyone has this exact issue and the floor layers themself have told us it’s due to the poor manufacturing. This is the church view estate in MedwayReply: this is the thing, they have said the manufacturers have said it’s not their problem when it is. It’s the exact same issue that happened the first time and now it is constantly spreading further and further through the house, particularly in the more trafficked areas. I asked for a second opinion and Taylor wimpy agreed and then when I heard nothing they refused. Can you contact me with somewhere I can send the photos of the awful quality carpets you’re putting in peoples brand new houses
We're sorry that this has been your experience with us Sonny. We have contacted regional office and they have advised that the manufacturer has confirmed the issue reported is not a valid defect. We're sorry that we are unable to assist you further.Ruby

Very Poor Communication/Service - Don't waste your time.
One of the worst companies I've dealt with for general communication - You go through the motions for share-to-buy but when it comes to signing up and paying a deposit, can you get hold of them? Three times, with three (phone) eligibility interviews, numerous personal data sent and then they are impossible to contact and just don't return calls, voicemails & e-mails. They then call out of the blue asking if I am still searching for a property. I said yes I am, just not with them anymore because of the above. This lot are ranked joint bottom with Bromford (New Homes) for basic communication/courtesy. Just not worth the time as they appear to not be interested and/or any good.

The agent
The agent, Jamie, has been very helpful and nice to me. My house will be ready by July 2023, but so far so good I have liked how she has handled me so far. I am at Holly hill 2.
Thank you so much Clement for your kind feedback about Jamie. We'll make sure he gets to see this as they'll be delighted!Ruby
