Extremely disappointed

The one star is for the friendliness of the on-site staff in trying to sort out multiple problems of a sub-standard new build. The ongoing, unresolved issues are too numerous to mention in full but two months after TW took the money I am still unable to move into the house on the Clover Meadows development in Barrow. TW refused my request to extend the completion date in spite of all the problems highlighted at the home demonstration. I now have to pay council tax and utility bills for a property I am not able to live in as well as ongoing storage costs for furniture that can’t be moved in until they have, among other things, installed a missing window. I await a new front door, the third refitting of the kitchen, the completion of the second fitting of the ensuite, the provision of keys that actually fit, a resolution to the poor quality of the “upgraded” bathroom, correction of a shockingly low standard of decoration throughout the house . . . and more. They have cleaned up the mould growing in the loft and promised to keep an eye on it but my confidence in their promises is now rock bottom.

DO NOT BUY A HOUSE FROM THESE ABSOLUTE…

DO NOT BUY A HOUSE FROM THESE ABSOLUTE SHYSTERS (unless you want to be replacing many of the fixtures and fittings within about 5 years!) Bought a house 3 years ago from TW and so far we've had faulty windows (to the point that they wouldn't shut!), faulty shower (that had to be completely replaced) and then the piece de resistance. The fitted fridge/freezer died. Completely FUBAREvery single time one of these things happens you will get the standard reaction from TW ' SORRY, ITS OUT OF WARRANTY, NOT MY PROBLEM MATE' Now that would be fine if it didn't feel like pretty much everything is made to self-destruct a few months after the warranty has run out. You really shouldn't have these problems with a new house. If I was you I would go to a smaller builder and one that maybe you can trust. These are not the builders youre looking for.

Bristol customer services are aware of…

Bristol customer services are aware of a written agreement between our solicitor and their solicitor that all apartment windows would be cleaned until building work complete on the Somerdale site. They have withdrawn from that agreement without notification, refusing to pay, and have also refused to engage in a timely manner to get it resolved. It appears they are seeing if we will take them to court -which we will.

Seamless process

Firstly, the show homes are beautiful, excellent finishes and a cut above the one we saw the week before. Most importantly the house size was significantly larger and better priced. We chose the easy mover package and have just accepted an offer on my current house. Getting a record price for the property type and location. So far (touch wood) it’s been a seamless process. The ladies at the sales office Stacey & Donna have been excellent throughout! Very knowledgeable and explain every part of the process so there’s no surprises. I don’t plan on moving after this but if I do this would be my preferred choice 👌

Park looks nothinking like it's set out in the brochure. The Park is full of rubbish in the bins.The grass and the nettles surrounding the park are an absolute health and safety risk to the young children. Weeds growing through the brickwork. The estate looks a mess. Please send someome to sort it out- Quick!11/07 Update- I don't wish to share my details as it is clearly evident the site is a mess. What I would like you to is get the site manager to take a walk around the park and get someone to firstly empty the bins and secondly pick up all the rubbish1. It's a mess SORT it OUT

If you don’t mind Taylor wimpy damaging…

If you don’t mind Taylor wimpy damaging your property then go for it. We live on the Hilltop View development and they’ve been using our drive (built by bloor) as a turning circle and damaged it to the state of no repair, digger tyre marks ripping up the driveway. Although they accept responsibility, their customer service is nowhere to be seen. Absolutely disgusting of a ‘4 star builder’. No respect for others property and quite happy to brush it off. Emails ignored other than ‘we’ll tell them to stop doing it’. If they don’t have respect for the neighbouring properties, good luck with your new purchase!!

6 years down the line more faults…

6 years down the line and still finding fault in the build quality. We've dug up and replaced our hilly rocky garden. Had our ground floor, town house, ceiling replaced (moved out 2 weeks), and now have had to pay close to £1000 to have scaffolding up to fix the leaky guttering that was never secured to the house, other than with gutter clips. Not screwed to fascias, universal joints not screwed on. Severe leaking in heavy rain. Love our home and location, got us on the ladder. Really appalling build quality.
