Scholars Chase,Bristol- TW poor quality houses

Please, I would like to make clear I am not looking for TW to contact me when I am writing my review here (I already communicate with them in a different forum). My intention is that anybody that reads this, knows how bad quality houses they sell.TW does not take any responsibility for a pipework that is leaking because we found out about the issue after the 2 years defects period.However, they should consider that saying that it might have been broken recently, they would be acknowledging the poor quality product they offer.Or would you expect a copper pipe to be broken in less than 3 years?A gas installation is designed to last 40-50 years. Obviously, what they do not want to admit is the obvious explanation, which is that the leak has always been there.Under my personal opinion, they would cause less damage to their own brand if they recognised that it was an issue at the time of construction., , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , -Do not buy a TW home!We have been living for just 3 years in our new house and we keep discovering new issues every month (and I am not talking about small or cosmetic issues that can be easily fixed, I mean big construction defects affecting the building).Along with flooring issues-floor not flat-, leaks in bathrooms, walls that keep moving, creaking everywhere (all still to be fixed)… the last one we have discovered when someone came to do the boiler servicing yesterday, is that a gas pipe, embedded in walls/ceiling, has been leaking for 3 years!!!I prefer not to think that we have been exposed to such a big risk…just because someone did not do his job properly and nobody checked it before completion.Two different gas engineers - one from the boiler company and one from the insurance company- have already ensured that the issue was produced during construction of the house.Of course, we are now with no heating or hot water for the foreseeable future… and when we called to the Home emergency help line from TW the first thing we were told was that the 2 years guarantee period had expired.As you can imagine it is so frustrating that we have spent thousand of pounds on something that is only giving us massive headaches.(Veronica, Scholars Chase, Bristol)

Main issues fixed but handled very poorly

I moved into my property in May 2023 and noticed that the front and rear doors to the apartment complex did not close properly. I must admit that I personally did not raise the issue with TW immediately (when I should have) but when I did escalate through to my customer relations manager in September, it was fed back to me that there were no issues and the carpenter had checked the doors already... However, the issues persisted and on occasions, the doors did not lock despite attempting to force them shut. On my return home today, I noticed that they had very sneakily fixed the doors as they now lock automatically without effort. In conclusion, I've found the way that they have managed the issue quite disappointing as they basically refused to acknowledge it and took months to fix it, even though the security to the apartment building was clearly compromised. Secondly, I raised a separate issue with my kitchen sink tap whereby it had very low water pressure. My customer relations manager mentioned that she would contact the plumber to investigate but it took almost an entire month for them to arrange an appointment with me. Turns out, the problem was that they had installed the incorrect tap and several properties in the area had been affected! Overall, not pleased with how everything has been handled.

Seamless reservation at Meadowside

All the team at the Meadowside development have been excellent, but Stacey in particular has been amazing. She's been so friendly, helpful, and supportive right through my reservation journey, and genuinely excited for me. Nothing has been rushed and nothing has been too much trouble, she made sure I had all the time and information I needed to make decisions.The house style I've chosen is perfect for me and the optional upgrades offer all the choices you could want. It could have been a really stressful experience, but instead it has just been really exciting. The regular contact and updates make all the difference and I can't wait until my home is finished and I'm moving in.

The on site sales executives Rachel and Sam are professional and helpful (however minor the query) and explained the process clearly and then worked with me to help maintain momentum on my sale and purchase.Since moving in, Rachel in Customer Care and the Site Manager Daryl have ensured any snags or queries are addressed promptly.I’m impressed with the high quality of finish (especially in comparison to other developments in the area), the fixtures and fittings used, and the level of cleanliness (and “sparkle"!) at handover, the house was immaculate (and I’m really fussy! 😊) All the little touches add up to make it a really special experience, from the Customer Service handover for familiarisation with the house and appliances (including a helpful list of serial numbers, ready for registering), to the brilliant DIY maintenance pack provided with paint touch-up pots, and the site team keeping me up-to-date on progress of snags raised once I’d moved in. I absolutely love my house!

Don't buy TW carpets!! Absolutely fuming

Originally wrote a good review but I have been in my house just over 2 years and I need new carpets as they weren't fitted correctly. I did complain about this but I ended up leaving it as the carpet fitters could never be flexible. I left it thinking it would be ok and too much hassle to sort but now my carpets are all bubbling up and coming away from the grippers. I had a carpet fitter come and stretch them but it didn't help. Do not buy carpets from them! I am fuming I have to fork out hundreds for new carpets so early. Apart from that the house is fabulous! Oh I also have scratched windows but apart from that please see my other review about the rest of my experience.
