TrustpilotLeft with a bog for a garden… not been able to enjoy a garden for 2 years!
Ruined our experience of owning our new home… could not use garden for 2 years as it is more like a bog than garden. Grass was just placed over building materials and rubbish from start. Garden died from this and problem with flooding due to no drainage and impermeable clay. Tried to fix but refused to provide proper drainage with connection to mains water exit from property. They just dug a trench which immediately filled with water which didn’t empty because water couldn’t go anywhere and with the impermeable clay it can’t drain into ground. Water just sit there like in a bucket and that is what we have under our grass trenches flooded with water and always will as they wouldn’t connect it to the water mains and exit. So obviously lawn died again and became a bog flooded with water and mud. They then send new landscape company in middle of summer on hottest days and showed them soil is still wet and the slimy bog patches and they come to make immediate decision that the garden died because our dog urinated on it and nothing to do with flooding even though our dog didn’t go on new laid lawn for 5 months and we have photo proof of this and that lawn died from water flooding and no one touched the lawn for 5 months by photos show month by month how it deteriorated and died. What a joke as next door neighbours have dog that has always used the garden as toilet and their garden is absolutely fine. Great professionals they send that didn’t even look at evidence we sent or what the previous landscape company had said which was that the flooding and clay was the problem and cause of lawn dying. I have evidence of all work done and that solutions didn’t work so I got quotes for work to be done properly to fix problem which another home owner with exactly the same issues did. They accepted their quotes and paid them for the work to be done however they have refused to do same for us which is discrimination against us. They refuse to help us any further. I suffer from migraines daily, anxiety and depression which has been escalated by this terrible ordeal for 2 years. They do not care once they take your money!

She keeps us updated and was very helpful with the paper work. She was very helpful with choosing the interiors for our new house and the quality was very good and a great variety of choice.

Appalling company. Shame you have to give a star, zero works for me. This company consists of cowboys. They do shoddy jobs and fob you off with lie after lie. Do not even buy a house from them for you will spend more money rectifying their mistakes that they bodge up even more. The customer service is awful. The building work is terrible. Fitters are paid for the number of kitchens they fit in a day - imagine the quality. Everything is done on the cheap. My advice? Go with a reputable builder.

Our home has defects, which were signed off, but clearly not inspected, nails through the roof membrane for one, defective tiles another, all well and good if you like looking at the sky while in the loft. not really what a roof should do. The new road was installed with the drains uphill, the mortar used had too much sand in so you could scrap it away with a ball point pen, and trying to get answers some 2 years later is a challenge.

The whole home buying process was so smooth with Beckie, she took care of everything in a very cheery, friendly and efficient manner, nothing was ever too much trouble, she would regularly contact me out of her work hours. She made the whole process so easy especially as I was dealing with an incredibly difficult time in my life. Will the site manager was a pleasure to have around, again nothing was ever too much trouble. He was round in an instant if I had a query and he sorted the problem or booked in trades to rectify the problem within a couple of days. Will’s attention to detail was exemplary, he wasn’t happy unless everything was perfect. Like Beckie, Will was always cheery, friendly, efficient. He also worked out of hours to double check that things were ok. The site was always tidy and organised. I am so pleased with my new home. Since Will and Beckie have left the site there have been a few small glitches but nothing that Vistry has hasn’t tried to fix immediately. All in all, I have thoroughly enjoyed my new home from buying, moving in, adjusting and feeling supported during the whole process. It’s all been so easy and that is definitely thanks to a great team being in control.

Do not buy their houses because you are roped into using a maintenance service that charges huge amounts of money each year that you can't get out of unless you sell the house!These large companies only want your money. They make their houses too quickly so for the first 2 years, I was constantly requesting for them to repair big and small details of the house!
