Disappointment following moving into the house.

Smooth customer services and sales experience prior to buying the house. Very competent saleswoman (Julie) who attended to all of our needs and queries beforehand. Disappointing finish to the house (e.g. access to loft is in the guest bedroom where the fitted cupboards are so we have no loft), constantly needed corrections once we had moved in due to faults in almost every room. Poor service from providers Strata had used since moving in (e.g. Shaklocks for bathroom leaks and plumbing). Still have not got all of our house issues resolved, despite living here for a year now. Not impressed overall considering the money paid for the house.

No hesitations in recommending Strata …

No hesitations in recommending Strata to anyone. I had a house to sell down South too and the process was so smooth and was assisted throughout the full journey. The service from Jayne at the Emotion site was second to none, I was still living down South when I reserved the property and choose all my fittings etc by phone and e mail, Jayne was on hand to send photos and answer all my questions and there were a lot of them. I'm very close to moving in and can't wait.

First Time Buyers

As first time buyers we were drawn to Strata as they stood out from every other home builder in the area and their attention to detail in the show homes was second to none. We have now been in our Strata home for 3 years and love it more every day. As with every single new build, you need to expect that there will be snags after moving in. We made a snag list shortly after moving in and Strata customer service were absolutely amazing and went above and beyond. There were times where we felt we must be annoying the people at custome care as we are quite the perfectionists but every single person I spoke to or dealt with were incredibly helpful and polite and always resolved any issue or answered any question that we had in a professional and timely manner, putting our mind at ease. Even now, 3 years in, there have been occasions where we have wanted to contact Strata suppliers for extra work in our home or purchasing items from the correct source and Strata have been so great giving us any contact details or information to help us out. Strata really do understand that you want things to be just right in your own home, no request is ever too small. If we were to upsize in the future then Strata would be the first place we would look and I would absolutely have no reservations with buying another new build Strata home. I wholeheartedly reccomend Strata to all of my family and friends, and anybody else who is looking for a new build with a difference. Thank you, Strata, for making our first home journey such a brilliant experience. A great company with an even greater team behind it.

We put a deposit down for a plot and after some months deliberation, and before the house was built we changed our mind and requested our deposit back. It took 3 months to get the deposit back after numerous emails, telephone calls and a visit to the sales centre. Unacceptable.

Bad moving in experience

I keep getting reminder emails to review so I’ll do that now...Moved in - house was dirty despite cleaners apparently having been in prior. Kitchen cupboards were dirty. There was a hole in the surround of one of the patio doors which somehow snuck through the quality inspection. With all respect to Strata, they resolved this and a couple of other small cosmetic issues with a ‘plastic surgeon’ the next dayThere are cables hanging out of the side of the building for Sky TV, however, I have no plans to get Sky TV and they are unsightly (also, one of the bricks was smashed during the provision of the cables). Site manager said he would resolve, no resolution 7 days later...The manhole cover outside the door is at a 45 degree angle and screwed with only two screwsThe biggest issue, currently, however, is a water leak in the kitchen under the sink where it appears some plumbing as clearly just been forgotten! Fearful this may cause issues to the kitchen units...

We're to start! We are not going to lie we have had a few set backs and some disappointing news! Obviously with building a house/new estate comes challenges! We would like so say that the whole team have gone over and above to accommodate our needs and have made our dream journey as personal, proffesional and stress free as possible! We have only a few weeks left to go and a couple of obstacles to climb over but with your team helping us the obstacles are made easy to overcome! We've visited a number of new development areas (and new builders' offices) across Midlands. But none of them was close to the level of service we've gotten by Strata!We've just walked in Derby's office ('Definition' development) and for less than an hour we've been convinced that this is where our new home would be. Excellent service so far. Beautiful show homes, we felt spoiled for choice. Great incentive to be able to reserve your plot for £100. We have looked at lots of developments from many different home builders but we have decided to buy from Strata. The reason was very simple in the end, we liked the house and we liked the fact that we were not given the hard sell.
