GoogleAppalling service from Sarah Mains and from a landlord they are representing. My fiancé and I were selling our home back in Jan 2023 and were looking for a 12 month flat rental in the Jesmond area. Having spent much time viewing properties we enquired with Sarah Mains and were passed onto Elliot Scott who set up a viewing for us at a Jesmond Flat. Upon meeting the landlord who seemed very nice we were informed that due to property renovations the white good weren’t yet in the flat but that they would be added upon the flat being leased. My fiancé and I put in an offer to rent the next day with Elliot Scott. We submitted all of our personal and financial details, everything was going fine and we were aiming for a quick move in just a week later due to our house sale completing. We then receive a call from Elliot Scott advising us that in fact the landlord will no longer be providing the white goods for the flat and that we need to buy them ourselves or sign a 2 year lease. My fiancé and I pushed back advising that we would have never viewed the flat if we had been advised white goods wouldn’t be provided from the start and questioned why the landlord wouldn’t provide the white goods anymore after we had submitted all of our personal and financial details. Elliot Scott said he would go back to the landlord and come back to us asap, as we needed to sign a lease rather quickly due to our upcoming house sale. We never heard anything back what so ever. Not a single call or email from Elliot Scott. Absolutely appalling service and a complete waste of our time, wasted viewings, lying landlords and submitting our personal and financial details for no reason.
I am sorry to see that you have left a one star Google review. The property you are referring to was advertised as unfurnished and did not include the white goods. When the landlord made the decision to only supply the white goods to tenants who were prepared to sign a 24 month lease you were advised straight away. I understand that this was annoying but it was an instruction from the landlord. Sarah Mains

GoogleReally excellent and professional service from all staff at Sarah Mains Low Fell. Right from the outset, the valuation was carried out with (by Claire) such professionalism and i had no doubts that these were the agent i wanted to go with. During the sale process, i was updated regularly (by Chris and others) and knew exactly what was happening. After the sale went through, Rebecca was excellent in getting everything over the line so competition could happen at the earliest opportunity, liaising with the other parties and legal firms as necessary. I'd have no hesitation in recommending them. They may not be the very cheapest, but they are certainly the best. Thanks again for all your help.

GoogleAmie Lynch viewed and valued my house 2 weeks ago. She was amazing so professional and her knowledge is immense about the local property market. Having lived 30 years in my current home her empathy and understanding about this huge decision alleviated many anxieties. She cares about her clients and was genuinely interested in my personal circumstances and what this move meant to us. Amie definitely loves her job and really goes that extra mile . I must say the whole team have been superb Annabel Legg with the viewings at my new house, Kelly Docherty undertaking the negotiations with both buyers and seller. Excellent and timely communication by all, they really make you feel this is a partnership and genuinely want a positive outcome for all. I have bought a new home and sold mine in 2 weeks, this could never have happened without this fantastic team. I would 100% recommend using Sarah Mains GW 11/2/23

GoogleI have used Sarah Mains 10 years before when buying my first property so not surprised at their excellent service. However I have to say the team & expertise just gets better & better. We were looking to purchase our next home & had gone through various agents which was sometimes a struggle. With other agents it sometimes felt we were just another number. Sarah Mains were so professional, hands on & supportive from day one & were genuinely involved with our progress. Scott was extremely helpful from the moment we enquired & requested a viewing. He was also very good with the follow up call & to the very last day we picked up keys as I had requested an extra print out of the house brochure. Amy was also good & professional at showing us around the home. Kelly was also helpful through the sales progression. Thankyou for helping us. We love our new family home.
