Absolutely horrific

They had no regards toward us as a tennant or towards our landlady. They failed to get in touch with us when the contract was up for renewal, we had to constantly chase them. Our landlady opted for them to fully manage the property and do inspections. They never did as many as they were paid to but always kept taking a cut before the rent reached the landlady.When trying to hand our months notice in they declined it. Luckily I cross checked this with our contract and had to contact them again, which they did end up accepting in the end. Due to this delay we nearly lost the house we were moving into to a different couple. I contacted them via email and phone approx 5 times alone about where to hand the keys back as our local branch didn't exist anymore. Nobody seemed to have a clue. When it came to the deposit it took us nearly 2 months to get it back. The landlady hadn't disputed anything, they just hadn't bothered to contact the landlady or the TDS. We ended up raising a dispute, the TDS couldn't even get a response from them so ended up releasing the funds that way. They tried to over charge us on the overlap of rent which took me caused me waste further time emailing and calling. Early on in the contract they tried to charge me a fee to renew the contract despite the new legislation that came in regarding this. All the contact I had (or lack of) was with my property manager Ella Slack. Maybe the issues I experienced isnt company wide and are down to this one individual. However, if this is a case, I strongly recommend if managment see this review, you check the notes on the system and you will see how many time I called and emailed to move out of a property as requested by yourselves. Its not that I was even trying to leave mid contract, the landlady wanted to move back in and gave 2 months notice and I was just trying to adhere to that. I think it must have took what feels like 20 calls and emails to arrange this.

Outstanding Customer Service …

I cannot fault the excellent service that I received from the staff at the Holmes Chapel branch of Reed Rains, especially Tallulah-Mae.Although in the end I did not actually use their branch to purchase a property, their help and advice on a number of occasions was not only very professional but delivered unconditionally. I could highly recommend them as not only being ethical but very friendly and sincere in their approach to customer service.

The service was apathetic. We did not receive the AST until about 2 days before we were due to move in (in December) having known we were moving in since August. The documents received contained errors and did not include pre-agreed terms. When we chased the response was always slow and unhelpful.
