Started with the branch manager lying about a property he had sold in the local area, turns out they hadn’t. He then offered us a ‘discount’ on the fee, failing to mention that he wasn’t including the VAT in the number. Then they charged for photos which were pretty terrible and a very difficult photographer to deal with. When it came to showing the house we left instructions to ensure the curtains were opened during viewing as we were away. This didn’t happen and the interested parties had to do this themselves. The agent last showing around couldn’t share any information on the property as they were from the Lettings side of the business. Another appointment the agents didn’t turn up leaving potential buyers stood on the doorstep eventually giving up. Luckily the house sold itself. Reeds Rains Congleton are a great advert for purple bricks!

This is one of the fraudsters on Stoke high street. Security deposit will not be protected, and you will lose it without explanation, as there is zero response to email and calls to the agency, or to the central of theirs. Highly NOT recomended. Prepare to lose money on them! It is 3 months down since closing the rental and they do not care to give your money back.

All the staff (Reece, Karis and Sarah) were amazing during our house move. From the moment our house went on the market right up to completion they work extremely hard. They were courteous in showing potential buyers around. They were constantly updating us and chasing up and down the chain once we had sold. . Their hard work was particularly evident as another estate agent in the chain "does not do chasing of Solicitors" and this made it very difficult for us to find out what was happening. Despite this the team at Reeds would contact all the Solicitors and other ahents to get updates. The team were amazing, I can't recommend them enough. We have previously used Reeds Rains and had the same service then. If we ever sell again Reeds Rains would be the only agents we would use.

Will keep your deposit if smoke alarm not working! They will call out an engineer and you will have to foot the bill! Very expensive! This happened in Chesterfield a while ago now they can check their records of deposits held onto

Reeds Rain Blackpool - poor Customer Service and Liars

Reeds Rains Blackpool provide a shocking service to tenants/potential tenants. I viewed a property on Saturday and emailed after the viewing to say I was interested but needed the remnants of the previous tenant removing (including dirty pillows and shower gel) and some electrical things checking to confirm they all were in satisfactory working order. I expected at least an email to thank me for my interest but nothing so I called and left a message for the negotiator to call me back. No return call so I called again and was told by the other lettings person that the landlord had rejected my interest with no explanation available. The negotiator, Hannah, had left at this point. I left a message for her to call the following day and still no contact. I rang two more times and finally got to speak to her but she though being told no was satisfactory with no explanation. I said she was meant to negotiate with me and the landlord as without a tenant there is no let. I agreed to store the tat in the cellar and asked her to go back to the landlord. We then got cut off and I rang back and her colleague refused to transfer the call! I advised the Hannah was taking my details (again) and was going to speak to the landlord. She then put me on hold without warning and then came back to say that half an hour ago, the landlord had called to say that their friend was taking on the house. I left it here, but my partner called up today to show interest int he property and was told it was still available! So not only is the customer service atrocious, they are liars too! Avoid at all costs.

This is not okay. Along with the horrendous service I got with moving in, the staff at Reeds Rains Liverpool were meant to organise a maintenance and clean for after I moved in. Last week, I received a text from the contractor and I asked if they could come on Friday. On Friday, nobody came. When I called them, they sent me to voicemail. When I reached out on Monday to ask what happened, the contractor explained that they were unwell. No bother, I asked them to come on Wednesday. After some texts and emails, I received no confirmation that they would be at my flat on Wednesday. In none of those correspondence did the contractor once say “Yes, I’ll be with you on Wednesday morning,”. Today, Wednesday morning, I woke up to missed calls and texts asking where I was. How was I meant to know they would come to me on Wednesday when they didn’t even confirm that at all? When I called the contractor, her attitude was horrible. She said, “Do you want to keep going over the fact that there’s been a communication breakdown or do you want to get a cleaning booked?” before also saying that Reeds Rains only told her about two repairs that needed to be done. This contrasts the higher number of repairs that needed to be done in the property report, one of which was my bathroom sink plunger not working so now my sink is a Petri dish and has been since the weekend. I called up Reeds Rains and spoke with Oliver who said, “We can either find a new contractor or you’re going to have to grin and bear it with these ones,”. I had asked to be called back yesterday by Reeds Rains and I wasn’t. I have asked to be called back today and, as of 3:30pm, I haven’t been. Overall, horrible service from a supposed “full service property management” company and its contractors.

Every year poor services of maintenance!!!

Every year we have to leave a poor review to this maintenance company!!!! It takes literally days to come and contact you in regards of fixing your watter issues (some very old boiler broken)!!! And then it takes them some more additional days to have someone available to come and check, because their availability is not OK when it is for you too.... And if you tell them 3x times you are not available on the evening when they call you (after days have passed), they keep on pushing it as they would be literally deaf!!!! And we have this little process every year 2 or 3x times... Because the boiler is suuuuuuper baaaaad and oooooold!!!! Very poor quality and extremely old!!! The company suuuuper ruuude!!!! Other then that they could just put a proper boiler but hey hey... They do not want to....So very very upset about the quality of their services!!!!

To determine our home's value for sale, I completed a Zoopla form that forwarded our information to several local estate agents for valuation. Reeds Rains Cheadle branch contacted me by phone and gathered personal details and property information during a seven-minute call. They scheduled an appointment a few days later. However, I received a subsequent call indicating they could only value the property if it was listed immediately.In summary, they collected all necessary information but failed to achieve the primary objective, resulting in a waste of time and unprofessional behaviour on their part.
