GoogleI was responsible for selling my mother’s bungalow in Clevedon and consulted various estate agents about the sale. I was highly impressed by Craig’s professionalism, knowledge and the way he dealt with my mum clearly explaining the whole process. He was methodical in arriving at a valuation based on his sound knowledge of Clevedon’s property market. I was very pleased with his valuation but slightly sceptical that he could achieve a sale at the price suggested. The marketing of the property was slick and the 3D mapping of the property certainly showed it off at its best along with very well taken photos and all placed on line for everyone to view. The staff in the Office were extremely friendly and helpful and kept us updated throughout the whole process and talked us through the various paperwork required. I decided to use Reeds Raines recommended solicitor “Simply Conveyancing” for our legal process and they were a joy being extremely competent and ensuring things were proceeding at a decent pace and I never had to chase them for information. I would highly recommend them. Following the sale I got a lovely call from Craig to check we were fully happy with things which was a nice touch. He didn’t ask for feedback but I feel compelled to give a very positive rating for their whole package. Moving house was a very stressful prospect for my mum but Reeds Raines and Simply Conveyancing made the whole process as painless as possible and I was more than happy with the selling price they achieved. Well done to all concerned.

My rent price per month has gone up by an extra £50, however, Reeds Rains has actually taken an extra £75.

GoogleWe sold and purchased our houses through Reeds Rains between September 2024 till July 2025. Our straight forward sale somehow experienced few drawbacks, firstly by some time wasting buyers in the beginning. When we received a firm offer from our first serious buyer, she lost her own buyers twice which meant our sale were back to square one, while our purchase was ready for exchange. During that time Matt and Steve in the Portishead branch has worked very hard to get us back onto the market for a sale again. This time round Steve had found us a first time buying couples who were just as keen to move as us. However, toward the final stage up till the exchanges we had experienced various issues again and this time Steve had work extremely hard to liaise with all of the solicitors and finally got us all move to our new houses. My experienced with Reeds Rains Portishead branch had been positive and although there were set back in the process, the team had always been very professional and worked hard for us to achieve our sale and purchase our new dream house, thank you.

I rented a property through Reeds Rains and dealt with Thom - who was brilliant! I was in a tricky spot having been given notice to leave a previous rental due to landlady returning and he understood the urgency of a move, but also took into account me still needing to be in the area for my children's schooling and work. He communicated with me well throughout, and found me my ideal place which we all now love!

Well it was shocking from the start and got worse quickly. Agent turned up late, didn’t know where the property was, I found the right door. Did know how much per month so that was a surprise but I did know that. Despite that I put in an offer to rent as require a place to live due to a severe fire in my apartment which my elderly mum was lucky to escape and the place was close to my flat. Going through the process the agent apologised as she put the property was available on the ad however she said it should’ve been the 29th Sept, so had to push for the 22nd as a move in date. Now it’s looking heavily unlikely as the Right to Rent doesn’t cater for what the retired and elderly have documentation wise and the agents (Aky) stick to this even though there’s exceptional circumstances as documentation was lost in the fire and homeless. In these cases this needs to be questioned and fed back to management. No wonder homelessness is on the rise. Absolutely shocking customer service all round and now we have nowhere to live because we chose the wrong place.

Owen Diamond and his colleagues in the Liverpool City Centre office advised us on the sale of 2 flats. They quickly found buyers but the conveyancing process was, in both cases, fraught with difficulties. Owen and the team were very supportive throughout and did what they could to facilitate the deals. RR are excellent in communicating and, even when Owen was not in the office, a colleague could quickly and accurately provide an update from the screen. All round, an excellent service.

I chose Reed Rains as they are an established estate agent within the area and felt they were best placed for the sale of my house and it proved to be the right choice. Saw a house being sold by Reeds Rains, sent 2 messages via Rightmove and then an email directly. None were responded to. After a few days, decided to ring them to try & arrange a viewing. Managed to arrange the viewing. But had no explanation or apology for the lack of response. Went to the viewing, received no follow up or a request for feedback. I was just grateful we hadn't chosen them to sell our house!
