Buying a property from the other side of the world (Sydney, Australia) in 6 weeks was always going to be challenging, add Covid lockdowns in the UK, and taxes for overseas investors increasing from 1st April and it seemed like it might not happen by 31 March. But it did! And in no small measure to the irrepressible Sophie Harkness and her equally talented colleague Ellie Ferris. Both ladies went the extra mile to provide pictures and videos of the property, and dealt with the 11 hour time difference ensuring that queries were turned around quickly and I always felt supported. Sophie is always positive, responsive and drives things forward. As Ellie takes over from a Lettings perspective she is getting through the work to prepare the property and find the right tenant. Trying to complete on a house purchase in the dying days of the stamp duty holiday was I think, for everyone involved, an absolute nightmare!
