I recently purchased a property advertised by Portico, with the assistance of their Sales Manager Lucy Adamson. One thing that stood out most during the entire process was Lucy's honesty and integrity - it was like a breath of fresh air! I had been looking to buy for more than a year and throughout that time, Lucy proactively kept me informed about the new properties, progress of my offers and provided honest and frank feedback when my offers were unsuccessful. I was also impressed with Lucy's professionalism throughout the process. She not only suggested properties that were specific to my requirements and budget, but also organised viewings at a time convenient for my parents and myself, which sometimes meant that she had to stay late or come in early. I have also come to appreciate Lucy's frank and considered opinion and her focus on doing her best for the parties involved. In fact, before I made the offer on the property that I eventually ended up buying, she discussed at length with me my personal circumstances etc. so that my offer could be presented to the vendors in the best possible manner. In my view, her thinking and feedback in that respect was critical in the acceptance of my offer! When my offer was accepted, she was always a step ahead in informing me and coordinating with various parties so that everything progressed smoothly. Portico and Lucy also had a good network of support services such as financial advisors etc. In fact, when I had an issue regarding my mortgage, she suggested that I contact their financial advisors, who were then able to get a mortgage specific to my requirements. On the completion day, I received a bag of goodies and a bottle of prosecco from Portico to welcome me into my new flat. The bag also had leaflets of local services and other important information. This was a nice gesture on Portico's part! Lucy was also very kind and respectful towards my parents who were visiting from India. My parents still remember her and had sent a "thank you" present for her from India recently - I think that is a testament to her personality and affable nature! It would not be an understatement to say that had it not been for Lucy, I would not have been in my lovely flat!

Hello there to all prospective buyers and sellers in London. When I met with Ed from Portico he pitched me hard about the benefits of working with Portico and in a changing market he lived up to his word. Within roughly 8 weeks of marketing the property I had accepted an offer from a very good buyer. His colleague Charlotte was exceptional, punctual, and completed her tasks at a very high level for a professional only three years into the industry. I take my hat off to Ed and his team. I never felt Ed sold to me, preferably I regard Ed as someone who advises me regarding property and in the future I would 100% call Ed and ask his advice regarding property in London. He is a good man, someone I trust, and his team should be regarded as property advisors. David.

Portico provided a very clear process and were in regular contact while we went through the stages of signing up for our flat and then moving into it. Their staff member Mckenzie was very helpful and lovely to deal with.

Not good at addressing problems when asked to have to keep asking plumbers and electricians to return to fix the same problems!!

Would not use again. Swift movement into the property, and can't get a response from anyone in the company since. £10 bribe for any review on here though

Worst letting agency experience in London. Heating/Aircon system broken since September (4 months!!) and still no fix in sight, had to engage the Council representative. Emails regularly ignored.

I've always found the properties Portico advertise to be of a high quality. Mckenzie was a delight to deal with and was very informative and consultative when I was putting in an offer. She kept me informed during the referencing process and made me feel at ease at all times. I would recommend working with Mckenzie and Portico when finding your next rental property.

We received really good customer service from Portico, probably one of the best letting agents I have ever letted with. Really quick and helpful sorting everything out. Definitely recommend!

Portico are one of the most efficient and thoughtful estate agents that I have worked with. The team at Portico Battersea are extremely helpful and my move was a success due to the professionalism of the agents.

Very easy agent to deal with and responses to emails and phone calls were prompt and helpful. The online letting process made it very easy to complete the paperwork and make payments remotely. We viewed the property and the next day it was confirmed as ours! Wish everything was this easy! Thanks Portico!

I have dealt with a good number of Lettings Agents over the years (both as a landlord and a tenant) and have to say that the service I received from Portico in Highbury (specifically Ed Lugg, the branch manager) has been nothing short of fantastic. The staff all seem well-trained, are personable and knowledgable. Ed demonstrated a deep understanding of his client's motivations and likely reactions to the not-uncomplicated rental offer we put-forward. This made everyone's lives easier; we were comforted, as we felt we were dealing with a very straight-down-the-line outfit. Bravo, folks! I hope it wasn't a fluke. If more tenants in London had the experience we did, I think the world would be a happier place! :-) Highly recommended, from our experience.

Absolutely miserable company to do business with. If it weren't for the fact that I loved the property I was renting, I would never even CONSIDER giving these people my business. Was forced to pay huge processing fees for painfully slow service, resulting in me not being able to move into my property for several weeks and then being FORCED to pay a months rent in full anyways. No apologies for this, no compromise, just your standard soul-draining estate agents. If you're a renter, try and find a more respectable estate agent, if one so exists. If you're a homeowner looking for property management, you'll probably find much better organization and professionalism elsewhere.

I found a flat to rent for my second year of uni through Portico, and I was very pleased with the service. The agents were always very polite, accommodated our requests, and made sure that we were comfortable with everything. The entire process ran quite smoothly. The agency fees aren't cheap, but I think that's standard for London.

We have been renting our property for three months, and it's only now I feel I have the chance to sit down to send Portico Bloomsbury a message of thanks for all your support in helping us to find the right accommodation! When I first spoke to Adam on the phone, I was impressed by his friendly approachability, combined with sound understanding of my requirements. I really appreciated his friendly 'can-do' attitude, which inspired me with confidence and made me feel that I could trust him to find me something which would be tailor-made for our needs. It was that first conversation which convinced me to go with Portico Bloomsbury. When we met Adam, I was again struck by the positive way in which he went about ensuring that he understood our preferences, and I also felt reassured, as a new arrival in London, that we had the advice of someone professional and helpful. Additionally, we are pleased that your support has continued since we moved in. We feel confident that you are there for us if we have any future queries, and we would recommend you to anybody we knew who was looking for property in London.
