GoogleMy partner has been emailing and calling Pointons regarding the property they manage that joins our home, the top of the garden had a large tree that we had to complain about 2 years ago as it was overhanging our entire garden, putting pressure on the fence and we were advised was not legal due to its huge size, the tree was finally taken down but everything was left dumped at the top of the garden, it has since got wildly out of control and has now taken our fence down, 4 panels and the posts, from the weight of it all against our fence, we have a dog and 2 children and a garden we can't let them out in safely, keep being fobbed off, have been for over 3 weeks, I would suggest you make contact this week as you will be leaving me with no option but to bring my destroyed fence down to dump in your your office and you can send that to the landlord.
EDITED: you may want to consider responding to a google review after reading and understanding the issue and also looking into the individual who has left it, to start it is not just a simple case of clipping branches and throwing them over the fence, if you had read what I had written and digested it you would understand that the tree was cut down 2 years ago, all 60 feet of it has been left on the ground where it originally stood, what has now happened is the jungle like growth that has evolved around it has grown outwards, Below the top of the fence, and the weight of that has pushed 4 fence panels and posts over.
secondly at no point during any phone calls has anyone disclosed that the landlord has been contacted and are refusing to pay for the damage, we just keep being told we will get a call back, this has happened again when I called this morning.
Thirdly, If you had bothered to wait until the morning to check the details of the property and the people who are complaining you will see that I am in fact a client of yours as I purchased my house through you, I certainly won't be selling it through you though.
Maybe try not to be so sarcastic in your response because all you are able to see and try and defend is that 1 star, responding appropriately normally inspires the author to change that original rating.

Well typically you are not a client yet you see the reason to leave a one star review. If the owner of the property will not authorise us to spend his money, we cannot do this as Iβm sure you would not allow us to spend your money. You have the legal right to trim the tree and throw the branches back over. So itβs not a case of being fobbed off, itβs merely out of our control

GoogleIf I could give a much lower I would! Have been trying for over a month to get my holding deposit back from these. The property is already up for let! I been to the ombudsman and they said I should have had it back by now in full. Every time I ring itβs a different excuse, not in office, on a call or they ring back which no one has ever rang me back! I am chasing most days now! I would look for somewhere else if you want to get your money back

This was a let only property, where we was waiting on information from you previous landlord as to the condition of the property. . The fact we wasnβt notified of you vacating until after the event, does not excuse the timescale but we was in the hands this person giving authority

GoogleThe experience with Pointons Estate Agent was not so good. Have reported many issues in the house over the years but they didn't get them resolved. After leaving the house, I really had to chase many times then only I got my deposit refund after 2 months

GoogleI recently completed the purchase of my first home, and would like to underscore just how integral Pointons Atherstone (and Mark Thompson in particular) were to the process.
I am very, very 'green' when it comes to property and the purchase thereof, but Mark and co made it both seamless and stress-free. Indeed, Mark was instrumental in the whole process from offer to exchange, all whilst being friendly, knowledgeable and ceaselessly helpful at all times.
In short, I can't recommend Mark and the staff at the Atherstone Pointons branch highly enough. They're a class act, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them if you're seeking to buy or sell a home.

GoogleExtremely poor outfit I'm afraid, not only did they give a valuation around Β£120k below house valuation but when sent an email to explain they never bothered to reply.
If your going to employ a valuer they need to get someone with experience, after that we had 3 more valuations all around the same figure and all 120k above Pointons valuation, so not a great advertisment for them.
At least they turned up on time.

YellDo not recommend
The agents will leave you to suffer and then when you want to move they will make it a point to give you bad references even though they donβt know how to deal with tenants. Communication is very poor and all they care about is money, if you see a property under this letting agent run!!
