GoogleThe most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with! I can't even begin to outline all of the issues we have had with Penny and Sinclair over the past year. Most of all, their communication is TERRIBLE. If you email or speak to one person, fully expect to speak or receive an email from someone different, if at all. There is no accountability within the agency because you are forever dealing with someone different. We tried to rent privately but it is almost impossible in Oxford. We tried to find the contact information for the landlord but this is also impossible because the landlord has chosen to go through the agency we are not given their contact details. Things would be so much easier and more streamlined if we could deal with the owner directly! For example, I emailed Penny and Sinclair about replacement of a table and chairs in our flat and have not heard anything for TWO WEEKS. Last year, we waited over TWO MONTHS to get a second set of keys so that my husband and I could both have access to our flat - all the while they had their own set in the office. We kept hearing that the one woman we were dealing with went on vacation, then the other one was away sick, etc. etc. This is unacceptable and extremely unprofessional! Even though we had just rented through this agency last year and paid a 275 GBP "application fee", they charged us another 275 GBP "application fee" when we moved across the road this year. They are greedy greedy! Stay away if possible!

Dear Jennifer, We apologise that you have received communication from more people that you would have liked. We will always do our best to keep the number of staff you deal with to a minimum, unfortunately this is not always possible. When you put forward an offer for the new property, we negotiated for you for the beds to be removed at the landlords expense. The removal of the table and chairs was not part of your offer and they were present on the viewing. There is nothing wrong with the table and chairs, it is your personal preference to get them removed. Since your review we have responded to your request. With regards to the initial set up costs for the tenancy, although you were moving between two properties that are managed by Penny and Sinclair, they are owned by two different landlords and therefore it is necessary to update the references and draw up the paperwork as if you were new clients. I am sorry that you feel this is unreasonable. Kind Regards, Penny & Sinclair

GoogleWe have moved in to a property recently rented by penny Sinclair,we had to get carpets and floors professionally cleaned ,the whole house cleaned including oven and fridge,the shower was broken,WC did not work,roof leaked,when we contacted them no one returned phone calls. Totally unprofessional would not recommend to my worst enemy as an agent

FacebookWe saw 3 agents to start the process - Penny and Sinclair were the most positive with regard to target price and had the best rate - once chosen they produced a superb brochure and found us 12 prospective buyers over a very short period including the eventual buyer. They were close at hand throughout and kept us informed at every step - Kate McKinnon was particularly helpful and appreciated. In summary - efficient and good value!

FacebookI used Penny & Sinclair to sell my flat in Oxford in spring/summer 2017. The staff were charming, and in particular I can't praise Oliver Hope highly enough. His people skills are second to none: he was unfailingly positive and supportive, even in the face of a disgraceful meltdown on my part when things got stressful, and got me a good price for my flat in a difficult market. I'm quite certain my chain would have collapsed if it wasn't for his negotiating skills, and I'd recommend him to anyone.

FacebookUnethical company to deal with. They lie to get their hands on your deposit. Their home checks are invasive and every three months. I’ll leave it there as I would need a lot more time to expose their unethical behaviour. The letting agents are great. Pity their property management undo it all. Well done Penny and Sinclair. I hope you are proud of your lies and enjoy the £310 you got out of me! Such a disgrace of a company!
