We sold our house in West Norwood via Pedder in the Autumn of 2020 and we were delighted with our choice of agent. David Yuil and his Sales team in the West Norwood office made the process as smooth and efficient as possible, despite the invariable bumps in the road that come with any sale. We were very impressed with both the quality of sales material with which Pedder took our property to market and the clear determination of the team to achieve our target price. David’s team were also especially sensitive and diplomatic in organising viewings around our then tenants during lockdown who were also coincidentally clients of Pedder’s letting team. The high quality of service continued through the conveyancing stage and we found David and his team readily available and on hand to calmly and cooly manage issues as they arose between all parties involved. We couldn’t recommend Pedder West Norwood office more highly.

We recently purchased a flat which was sold through the West Norwood office of Pedder. Throughout the process, Sam and Vince were really responsive, helpful and kind. We had issues with our solicitors and Sam went out of his way to help and called them multiple times for updates.We would definitely recommend them.

I’d like to highlight Olga who was our letting consultant helping us secure a flat we absolutely loved. From the very beginning to the end of the process, Olga has been very professional, empathetic, and undoubtedly had our best interest at heart. She always responded and followed up with us promptly, providing reassurance and updates throughout, and took all the stress of finding and moving house for us. It’s been such a smooth ride working with Olga, she’s an asset to the team and I can’t thank her enough for all the work she’d done - we’re very happy tenants in our lovely new home!

I am afraid I have nothing good to report with respect to Pedder’s property management services. Poorly priced, extraordinarily poor communications, usurious fees for maintenance and sloppy contractors. Avoid.

Asked for a valuation of a flat that was being rented out, then wanted to sell. Wasn't bothered about getting it done nor phoning about it. Had to be pushed and reminded to get it done. Avoid.

Extremely unhelpful, rude and borderline discriminatory. At the start of the year I was looking for a rental property from £1700-£1800 in Crystal Palace, a saving on the £1900 I had being paying for years prior to this. I enquired after a viewing for a property at the lower end of this - I wasn't even permitted a viewing. As a single mum, I receive benefits, and as soon as I mentioned this I was told I wouldn't be able to view or apply for the property. After I questioned why, I was informed I wouldn't pass referencing - despite doing so for the £1900 property I resided in and the subsequent £1750 property I decided to rent elsewhere. When I asked if there was nothing I could do, as this would mean I wouldn't be able to rent any property from Pedder, I was told that unless I lowered my budget (which wouldn't find me a nice 2-bed with a garden under this) there was nothing I could do. I found this discriminatory, this essentially penalised me for being a single mother on benefits, despite my income from my wage being over the monthly rent. After talking to subsequent agents, they were horrified to hear that this happened and were very empathetic; working with me to find and secure a property - happily passing referencing. (It is illegal to not permit tenants who are in receipt of benefits.)NegativeQuality, Professionalism

Absolutely brilliant service from start to finish showing me round properties that fit the bill perfectly and helping me get the one I wanted over the line (not the easiest thing to have done given the circumstances). Pedder are currently selling a property I am still living in and have twice trespassed in my property to do a viewing without first gaining our permission and the second time without providing any notice whatsoever. This is trespassing plain and simple, and I would advise against using them unless you like the idea of being taken to court for harassment.

Bought house with Faye's help. Very patient, communicative and responsive for us as buyers. Recommended excellent solicitors. Helped very much with negotiating deal. Could have done a little more at the end of exchange to relax our extremely motivated vendors who got a bit intense but appreciate this was right before lockdown 3 and so nerves were running high.
