GoogleUnreliable agency We submitted an offer for a rental on July 19th. The representative we spoke with assured us that she would forward the offer to the landlord and provide us with a response the same day. Unfortunately, shortly after we sent the offer, we were informed that this representative became ill. It has now been a week, and we have not received any updates from this agency. While we understand that the individual we initially dealt with is unable to work due to illness, it is completely unacceptable that no one else from your office has addressed this matter. We are running out of time, with only 10 days left before we must vacate our current residence, and we still have not received a response. Edit: It appears that Oakwood Estates is not only unreliable but also unprofessional. Instead of addressing the issues, they chose to call me a liar. They claim, "our records indicate..." However, I must state that their records are evidently flawed. Here is the timeline we experienced, which will cost us £300 per month next 24 months due to wasted time: First day: The agent informed us that she would send the offer to the landlord immediately and we could expect an answer on the same day. Second day: No calls. Sunday: No calls. Third day: We called the office and were told the agent was ill and not working. They said they would see what they could do. Fourth day: We called the office again and were informed the agent was still ill and they had no access to anything. We also called the agent using the number she provided on her business card. She was displeased and said she could not check her emails. Fifth day: We called the office and were told the agent would call us back. However, we received no calls and had to call them again. Next few days: There were absolutely no calls from the agent or anyone from the office. We called every day, and the agent kept informing us that the landlord had not yet replied. Eighth day: Ten minutes after I wrote this review, we received the first call from the agent, but it was to ask about the review, not the house. I suggest you check your records again.

GoogleExtremely unprofessional. I was scheduled to move into my property on June 6, but the date has been repeatedly postponed. Despite providing all requested documents promptly, they ignored my emails for days. They were fully aware that my current lease is ending, leaving me at risk of homelessness but they still seemed unwilling to work with me. On top of that my agent Abby appeared uninterested in my case, making the entire interaction feel unprofessional and awkward, as if she didnt want to deal with me. To make matters worse, they refused to return my holding deposit - the money i desperately need right now, given that i dont have a place to stay. Overall, it was a terrible experience, avoid at all cost.

When we were going through referencing with you, you provided us with your old contract of employment which was not able to have passed referencing with the information provided within this. We tried to chase you multiple times to provide us with the new contract of employment which you didn’t do and said it would be impossible to do so. We also offered you one of the cheaper rooms that would have been able to get you through referencing with the old contract of employment but this was rejected by yourself. We tried every way possible to get you through referencing but were not provided the information needed from you to do so, because of this we could not proceed as you were not willing to assist in matters to secure you a property, as per the terms agreed by yourself the holding deposit in that case is nonrefundable. We cannot see any delay in response to you apart from one day which Abby was off unwell, you did have the office line and could have called in to discuss with another member of staff on this one occasion. Every potential tenancy for us is equally important which is why we took so many steps to try and get yours across the line, we are committed to ensuring we give every tenant the benefit of the doubt and try to find solutions to problems. However when we are not provided with what we require to get you through the referencing process with a third party, the tenancy could not proceed without us having your employment verified.
