I never understand the bad press New Builds get in the media as we have been nothing but impressed with ours. We have lived in ours now for 2 and a half years and we still receive such support from Scott the Site Manager. Scott, as well as Ian, and Lynne & Jess in the Site office, are an asset to Shelbourne Homes (Morris Homes). We still love our home and its location and couldn’t be happier. I dread the day the site is finished and Jess, Lynn, Scott and Ian all move on as they have treated us like friends and I will be sad to see them move on! Although we are in our forever home now, if we ever needed to move again, I’d be looking at Shelbourne sites before anything else.

We moved into our dream forever home end of April. From start to finish Morris were excellent. Paula, Jo and Julie were so pleasant to deal with, nothing was to much trouble. When we originally looked on Bartle meadows the plot we wanted was already reserved and we were like oh ok thanks anyway, a week later I got a phone call to say it had become available, we were so excited, our house on market, sold then the sale fell through, we saw our forever home being taken away from us, as we had only put a deposit down the timewas running out for us to exchange and complete however Morris were excellent, they kept us in the loop 100% of the time as we did with them, I am sat in my beautiful kitchen in my forever home writing this honest review. It just goes to show if you are an up front honest & genuine buyer, Morris will work with you, special shout out goes to Dave site manager what a guy, 100% down to earth genuine guy, we met him for our house demo felt like we had known him for years. Nothing too much trouble Iv looked at some of the reviews and frankly they are uncalled for, Morris made this happen for us and we are forever greatful Thanks Morris ❤️ PS when the bar is built you are welcome for a drink at 506 !!! Absolutely disgusted with how we have been treated by Morris Homes. We had our dream home reserved at Downing Gardens, Gamlingay, for around 12 months. Due to marketing our homes during the worst mortgage rate crisis in recent history, it took a while to sell our properties subject to contract (myself and my partner both owned a property and were buying the Morris Home together). Once sold stc, my partner's sale fell through once, we then secured a new buyer who was in a chain. Due to a delay further down the chain which was out of our control, Morris decided to pull the plug on our purchase. This and the pressure put on us during the last months of our intended purchase was awful - we could do nothing but beg our solicitor to get us some answers. If this wasn't bad enough, we had also selected a number of upgrades for the property, paying around £6,000 in a deposit. Morris Homes are now refusing to refund us any of our money, stating that we signed forms at the time of ordering the upgrades which stated the deposit was non-refundable. We could accept this if we were the party that pulled out of the purchase, however it was Morris Homes themselves that collapsed our chain.AVOID AT ALL COSTS IF YOU WANT A PEACEFUL LIFE AND YOUR HARD-EARNED MONEY IN YOUR POCKET OR INVESTED IN A PROPERTY YOU ACTUALLY LIVE IN.

We had never heard of Morris Homes before and were on the hunt for a new home, we passed the Arkall Farm development in Tamworth on the way to a day out and went to have a look and a chat on the way home - and what a great decision that was!Tracey was so professional and open when we discussed with her what we wanted and the timescale, taking everything into account and being very truthful and welcoming, we were instantly impressed and she has been wonderful throughout the whole process in keeping us up to date on the build, documents and all other matters - we were first time buyers so initially felt quite nervous, Tracey soon put us at ease.The houses themselves are of such amazing quality and designs, already feeling really homely whilst giving off the wow factor with their available specs, the site itself is managed so well and we feel so welcome thanks to Richard, Keith and James who are always on hand if we have any questions - we adore our home and love living here and Morris have truly delivered on the customer experience, cannot recommend them enough!We went for our first look on the 16th September 2023, reserved the plot on 22nd October 2023, throughout the winter we chose our spec and got weekly updates on the progress and then we moved in and picked the keys up on 2nd February and we could not be happier.After moving in we had a professional shagger come in and review the house and whatever she found, Morris were professional and quick on getting the correct tradesman in to sort it and everyone was open and approachable, we were signed off in just over 2 weeks!

GoogleTerrible, definitely not a 5 star builder as we were advised upon reserving our home. You raise snags and they take months to book the relevant work in, some of the operatives don’t bother turning up on the date booked. The operatives either leave work unfinished or make the snags worse. You then have to wait even longer chasing customer care for the work to be booked back in which takes another few months. I’m pretty sure morris are just trying to drag out the process until we are out of our warranty period. Morris just try to build as many houses as quickly and cheaply as possible. The only good reviews listed on trust pilot are ones of people who have only reserved a house and not even moved in yet. All the problems start after they take your money and are moved in.
