GoogleManaging the sale of the vacant flat above us. An alarm was going off in that property for over 24 hours non stop for the second week in a row and despite three desperate calls to them as the owners upstairs were unresponsive, they were really rude to us on the phone after we asked for their help by coming to simply take the battery out of the alarm despite being 2 minutes down the road - claimed they no longer had a key despite being here a couple of days ago (this was a lie), no way of contacting the owners(?) or buyers(?) or literally anyone else who might potentially have a key. We explained that we can’t sleep or escape the noise and I am pregnant meaning I am stuck working at home - in slight disbelief at how unhelpful they were. I hung up after they laughed at me and said ‘just call the fire brigade’? Edit to add that the owner finally resolved this, and told us that Mile Estates did have a key and they had also asked them if they could just come and take the battery out. Really bizarre and unfortunately confirming all the negative tropes about Estate Agencies especially their disingenuous response below which wasn’t at all how our conversations went.

Hi Alice, Thank you for your feedback, and congratulations to you and George on the upcoming arrival of your baby. We appreciate that this must be a stressful time for you both. As you know, our team had attended the property previously to resolve the alarm issue to the best of our ability. George was very gracious and appreciative during our visit. Last year, we also assisted George with a building insurance query with the previous owner, again to the best of our ability. At neither point had we been the owner of the property. As estate agents, we are not qualified contractors and therefore have limits on the work we can carry out. We advised that if your concerns extend beyond noise complaints, the appropriate parties or guidance should be contacted. In all four of your calls, we encouraged reaching out directly to the property owner/your neighbour, who are best placed to resolve the matter. We had reached out to the owner also, whom you are in direct contact with and resolved the issue the evening of your calls. While we previously addressed the issue within our scope, we apologise if the outcome did not fully meet your expectations as estate agents to your neighbour’s property. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and look forward to seeing you on our next visit to the property. Additional comment: Dear Alice, we’ve noted your further edits to your review since posting. The property owner has since resolved the issue nearly 24 hours ago, the matter was seen as concluded. As estate agents, our agents are not equipped to carry out maintenance tasks from the office nor do we keep ladders in the office. It seems there may be a misunderstanding about the scope of our role as agents for your neighbour’s property, and we’re sorry if that’s caused frustration. If you’d like to discuss this matter directly, please feel free to contact us by email rather than frequently updating your review

GoogleOur experience with Mile estate agents and especially Soroush was great. Soroush was open and honest about the market and the value of our property and was able to find a buyer in a few months. The selling process, supported by Soroush was also as pleasant as could be - Soroush kept things moving and us well informed.

GoogleMile Estates' Luke Mason and Raniya Naseem have been helpful and ever so caring in their communication and support throughout the scouting, site visiting, verifying and moving processes. They were extremely cooperative and understanding of our needs. Luke took out the time and showed skills like Ive not seen before, to get every task done well- be it communicating with multiple stakeholders, showing up on time, clarifications, he is good at this. Luke once said, "..finding a home is like destiny.." and that is so well said. Thank you, Luke, Raniya and team Mile Estates. We appreciate your hardwork and thoughtfulness most, Luke. :-)

GoogleKyle of Mile Estates was direct, personal and very helpful. I couldn’t have had a better experience with an estate agent. He was patient and thorough. He felt like a knowledgeable friend and sold the house at a very good price after a property developer messed up a deal. I recommend him and Mile Estates highly.
