Terrible experience. 0-stars. Had an appointment to view a property in Runcorn (The Decks Apartments). Viewing was at 17:30. Called the agency at 17:40 to notify I was there and that no one had shown up yet. The lady at the phone (first of many) told me the agent was probably just a bit late. I waited 15 minutes more and no one showed up. I called the agency again. The lady at the phone (another one) told me she would contact the agent on her personal number and that she would let me know after. 15 minutes passed and no one called back. I called the agency, again. A third lady at the phone told me the offices were closed now and she didn't know what to tell me. I asked her if I could just go home after waiting for an agent for a full hour in the cold and rainy weather and she told me to go home, leave my contacts and that she would investigate the next day and let me know. I still haven't heard from any of them. How professional!

We’re sorry you had a bad experience with your viewing Mr Laiso. It had been arranged for you to meet the landlord at the property for the viewing at 5.30pm. When you called to notify our lettings team that they hadn’t turned up our lettings Office was closed (5:30) and you were redirected to our ‘Out of hours’ service. Unfortunately they do not have any access to our database and clients, so it had to wait for our lettings team the following morning at 9am. I appreciate you we’re inconvenienced and for this we can only apologise. Unfortunately, we have little control over these circumstances. I know our team have been in touch to try and rearrange the appointment for another time but if you would like to discuss this matter further with a member of senior management, please let us know. Thank you.

We have recently rented a flat with Adams. Lorraine kept us informed constantly and kept the process really easy and smooth. Maintenance department has been really prompt in dealing with property issues. Leah is Fab. Couldn’t recommend Adams enough.

Adams have managed the letting of my house so well over the past few years. All of the staff have provided an excellent service, especially Vicky. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone to manage their letting properties

We have received excellent service from Adams, Runcorn branch from both the sales and lettings team. All members of the lettings team have been easy to contact, very helpful and up to speed with all aspects of our rental house. If we were unable to speak to the team member who contacted us, we are confident that whoever we speak to will answer our question or deal with our request. On the finance side - prompt payment always. We are very happy with our management package and would not hesitate to recommend Adams, Runcorn Branch.

I have noticed many good reviews but sadly as a 'buyer' I was not impressed at all, maybe they do their best for a seller as they will get a commission. I had to deal with 3-4 individuals from this company in Widnes and my appraisal of them is not good at all. From the beginning whilst making an offer and discussing options and really wanting to make sure of our decision, we were phoned and very rudely asked or even demanded to know (and I will paraphrase) dyou wannit or wah? and also told "you'll not get a cheaper place in Widnes than this price for that type of property" Talk about rude! Anyway we did reluctantly go ahead with the deal until we went around to check some measurements and found decorators tools and a large pool of water in the dining room. On questioning the manager about this I was told the obvious that it looked like someone was decorating... Yes I said but why? And why the large pool of water? Also there was a dehumidifier tucked under the stairs and they couldn't tell me why that was present either so I told them the deal was off until they could get an explanation for all the oddities. I did get a house buyers building report done and the surveyor did say the area was known for damp and that when he was there there was a decorator there which he thought strange, as the price of sale had already been agreed.He also said that there was no dehumidifier present when he made his survey... although we noticed there was before and after the survey hmmm. As the manager did not get back to me in good time with the answers I made a point of sending an email to him highlighting the severity of the problems and that it was the reason we were quickly deciding to change our minds. Sadly the manager was unable to respond but someone else from the company did to say that he couldn't. I then had to wait a few days before they got back to me to tell me they had trouble getting through to the vendor and when they did he just said they were decorating but they did not give specific reasons for the decorating, the water or dehumidifier. They did not offer at any point after the questions I had asked to reassure us or even find out for us the specific reasons for the strange happenings. I mean would you want to buy a house with an unexplained pool of water and intermittent dehumidifier appearances? My conclusion is, and these are only my theories, that they had another buyer in the wings who maybe wanted to pay a different price or they simply could not be bothered. Either way they acted unprofessionally and in a manner where I can honestly say I do not trust them, if I was buying through them I would certainly be aware of everything about them. Maybe in the next property crash they wont be so callous and respect the buyer and seller alike. I do find it intriguing that a negotiation should go so far and then the agent completely fail and give up to answer a few simple questions and bring the negotiation to an end due to what seems like incompetence. It is also frustrating that we paid in part solicitors fees and a surveyors report, this is an updated review and it makes me laugh when they answer below about 'I should of complained' .. I did! Oh and don't forget they have been selling houses in Widnes for 28 yrs, this has no bearing on the subject at all. Next stop the regulator!

EXCELLENT! Chose this office to market my flat for sale, very happy with all aspects of service. Due to current market decided to offer for rent instead... amazing turn round, was marketed within 24 hours and rented within a few days! Absolutely seamless! Everyone friendly, knowledgeable and efficient, definitely the right choice! Highly recommended.

Recently used Adams residential lettings Bethany went above and beyond for me helping secure my new home’ nothing was too much trouble for Beth including replying to my emails after hours and assisting with uploading the required documents I couldn’t fault Bethany’s professionalism and my experience would highly recommended Adams to anyone

Really very pleased to be working with Adams. They manage the majority of my properties and I never have a problem. Vicky Snape has been doing an outstanding job on the Finance side these last few years. I couldn't ask for more. But that also applies to the rest of the team. A class apart!

We have recently rented through Adam's and couldn't recommend enough. Lorraine kept us informed through the whole process and chased constantly for us. I have also dealt with Leah who has been really informative and helpful when dealing with repairs and inspections. Would recommend to anyone. Adams manage the letting of our house and the entire team make it a dream, especially Vicky S. She has provided an excellent service, managing any arrears and increased payment plan on our behalf. We receive statements and annual spreadsheets for tax purposes promptly, providing suggestions on managing rental income from the tenant. The team make it a breeze owning a Let; maintenance on the property and all safety checks are managed on our behalf and make the payments easy through their accounting system We would definitely recommend this company to anyone to manage their letting properties
