GoogleWe recently sold our late dads home with Michael Adams and we honestly can’t thank them enough for everything they did for us. From the moment we decided to put the house on the market, they were by our side with kindness, reassurance, and so much helpful advice. And to top it off sold it within 6 hours for full asking price!! They kept us updated with every step of the process, always with a friendly message and a smile. It never felt like we were “just another sale.” They took the time to understand our situation, and supported us through the emotional bits! Thanks to their hard work, professionalism, and incredibly warm approach, we achieved a result we were genuinely happy with, without the stress we’d been expecting. GoogleExcellent service, came out to value property quickly and gave good advice. House was on right move quickly and had multiple viewing requests straight away. Sold within a week despite asking price being higher than similar in the area. Staff were incredibly helpful, always answered emails and phone calls quickly. Made the process very smooth despite issues presented throughout the chain.

GoogleNeil Barratt and his team are excellent estate agents not only did Neil sell my house he helped find my new property which is perfect for me. My first buyer pulled out of the sale at 3 months in, I was very stressed but Neil explained everything kept me well informed throughout. GoogleRecently put my house up for sale due to my original estate agents being closed down, had a bit of rough luck with my previous agent but these have been amazing so far, Liz has been a god send keeping me up to date with offers and viewings and giving me great advice when its all been a little overwhelming. I have no doubt that moving into the sold process will be just as great service as I have already received! Google2 weeks before completing when a provisional date had been set we found out about additional costs for our freehold property. £450 to the management company to update their records that we are the new buyer, £150 security deposit and £150 yearly service charge. When questioned about this Adams agents said they had no knowledge of this. If this is true I still think it’s extremely poor of your agents to not know about the house they are selling. I think it’s disgraceful that this comes out at such a late date.

GoogleI have used Adams before and they were very good. What was interesting this time was that Neil's grasp of the market was much better than other agents. In short other agents clearly lacked local experience and valued solely on the basis on what had sold in the area recently, which in a fast rising market on a unique property was no use at all. In fact if we had used the agent we used as a 'check' then they would have undervalued our property by £130k. That is not a typo so be warned. Use the local agent who knows the local market. Use Adams.

GoogleWe started proceeding with our purchase through the Widnes branch of Adams in January. From the start, they have been proactive in letting us gain access to the property to measure up for things before the sale had finalised. They chased up solicitors on our behalf to make the purchase as smooth as possible. We completed the purchase in March which in my eyes is an amazing turnaround time given the pandemic. GoogleNeeded a house valuation, after an initial phone call with the branch manager a date was agreed and time. He shown up on time and was very professional. The valuation was carried out throughly and efficiently. Can not fault the service in any way.

GoogleAlways regret seeing a property advertised by them. Because they are good opportunities but unfortunately they end up with this crap agent. Most rude girls in the area. Always afraid to call them every time I see a property advertised, as I know I am going to get a rushed and third class attitude \ response. Do yourself and buyers like me a favour - Get yourself a better sale\tenant by giving your property to some other agent!

GoogleAvoid like the plague. Managing rental properties and allowing private homes in Widnes to be converted into child care institutions. No one at Adams would want any of these facilities to be next to them but they have no care for anyone else’s rights. Just think the next time you use Adams they could be managing a rental of a property to be converted to a child care institution next to you. A commercial decision has been made to work with Fairview Care and Support, who home “care-experienced young people and unaccompanied Asylum-seeking children”. It is for others to judge whether they wish to work with a company who is happy to facilitate lets of residential homes across Widnes for this type of use. And crucially planning permission is not always needed for this type of use. So you may never have the chance to oppose the use.
We have tried several times to explain this situation to you and your neighbours. This isn’t the forum for such issues, but we will again try to explain. Our role in this situation, is to act as the intermediary in the letting process, ensuring that all transactions are conducted fairly and transparently. We do not prioritize one tenant over another, and our primary responsibility is to facilitate a smooth rental process for both landlord and tenant. As for the conversion of private homes into child care homes, these changes are subject to rigorous planning and regulatory approvals by local authorities. We do not make decisions regarding the specific use of these properties. Please stop targeting Adams and our staff for issues out of our control.

GoogleHaving heard of others experiences (word of mouth) I avoided properties by this agent during my house search until I saw a property I really wanted to view. After 2 viewings and trying to send queries via email, I tried to make an offer in writing. After finding the property was now going to auction I gave up and stood down my conveyancer and surveyor. If you are prepared (or able to) spend your time phoning them then they do get back to you but other forms of communication are a none starter. Hopefully the seller gets more than my offer at auction.
