We moved into our new home on the 28th of October, and we are so pleased and very satisfied with our home. A million thanks to the exceptional sales team, especially Sara. Their communication was amazing and they offered helpful advice. They always kept us informed and made the process so much easier including chasing up our solicitor. Nothing to fault at all. The house is finished to a good standard and the minor defect we found was instantly dealt with by the site Manager Dave who is friendly and very approachable. The whole experience relating to the purchase was a complete magic by Cathy who was the first one requested us to book an appointment to view the show home and then we are so pleased with Carmack model and booked it immediately. Once we moved in we had a few minor snagging issues which Dean the site Manager was very helpful with and came round and rectified straight away. Much appreciate for his patience and always reachable for his quick turnaround time to fix snagging. We have been very pleased in particular with Cathy and Dean for their helpfulness and professionalism through what at times has been a stressful process. Our Abbey home in Stoke Mandeville

We are delighted with our new home at the Hawthorns in Stoke Mandeville. The Bromstone is spacious and flows very well. The standard of finish is of a high spec and of course there have been some snags as expected but these have been rectified to our satisfaction. Harts Hall Place - Brilliant experience

Bought a 6 bedroom house on the Harts Hall Place development by Abbey Homes back in June.The sales team were brilliant, particularly Lynn, always keeping us updated and making sure our sale progressed.Once moved in, very pleased with the service provided by Site Agent Ben and Nick. Both always ensured any snags were seen to ASAP and were resolved to a high standard.All in all, everyone we saw throughout the buying and moving in process has been great. Abbey new homes - Stratford reach Wolverton Mill

My partner and I purchased our first home in march of this year which should have been really been a great moment in our lives. Unfortunately with abbey new homes this has not been the case whatsoever. I can accept there will likely be basic snags in a new home and this is fine, however ours have been really quite severe, going from our ensuite shower leaking through the ceiling on the first day, to a large bulge on an internal living room wall, which when attempted to be fixed a pipe was burst spraying water all over our brand new furniture. To add to this I would say from roughly the second week of living in our new home we have had problems with our shower filling up and not draining properly meaning sometimes we have been unable to use the shower as its completely blocked. Neither me or my partner have ever had issues with a blocked shower before in our lives, however now within a very short period of time our shower seems to constantly block up and not drain. We have contacted Abbey new homes about this and they have tried to pass the buck onto us and suggest we spend our own money on a plumber resolving this problem. Clearly Abbey new homes builders have messed up the plumbing somehow as there is no way we have caused this block ourselves within two weeks when neither myself or my partner have ever had this issue in our lives before. My advise would be avoid purchasing an abbey new home as they have made what should be a great experience a terrible one.

We decided to move to this country and were so lucky to have met a great team from Abbey New Homes, who has given us enormous support throughout the whole process, from the day we reserved a property, till our settling down in one of the most beutiful houses at St. Nicholas Place in Oxford. Our special thanks to: Claire of the sales office who helped us a lot in liasing with the developer, and updated us the progress from time to time. Our site officers, Llyod and Nev, are both super friendly and extremely helpful. We were particularly impressed by knowing that most of the items on our snagging reports, though many of them are minor and cosmetic, were already fixed soon after the handover. As a first time buyer and newcomers to this country, we could not be happier with the quality of and service provided by Abbey New Homes.

Quality & Excellent HOME builder, detailed builder to deliver warmth home

The site office has been listening and taking care of requests on house improvement works. The team is hard working, details attentive to my requests - e.g. door / window / fence even lawn caring. I will praise the team from site manager Lyold, Nev to site workers (eg Bob, Chester) on taking care the site works in profession manner as well as communication with house owners. Quality works, warming & attentive interaction, follow through the requests. This might not be the biggest builder in England, but certainly one of the best quality & customer oriented builders in England.

We are very happy with our new Abbey home, and impressed with the internal specification. For us the Dendy was the perfect downsizing solution, though we don’t feel cramped at all, the whole layout flows really well. Like all new homes we have found some minor snags, most of which have already been sorted. Turfing and landscaping has wisely been held back due to the lack of rain, which we were relieved about.Special thanks to the wonderful sales staff here - Sara, Marina and Lisa - they have really gone above and beyond with their help, and their regular update communication has been excellent. Also the site managers Dave and Mark, whose service has been much appreciated.

Abbey New Homes

Abbey New Homes - Stratford Reach Wolverton Mill. My partner and I bought and moved in with Abbey new homes on the 25th March 2022 and this is our first home. This is supposed to be a big milestone and achievement for us and wanted it to be a happy experience. Abbey new homes have definitely crushed that and made this experience stressful, upsetting and just hugely disappointing.On the second day of our move in which was a Saturday our en-suite shower leaked through the ceiling downstairs causing our carpet to be soaked with water and paint from the walls, however, there was no emergency contact and both site managers weren’t able to be contacted as their phones were off. This meant we were unable to use the shower until this was fixed and this wouldn’t be done until the following Monday when people were on site, the result was that the plumbers did not fix the pipes correctly causing the leak - pure laziness. Along with this both my partner and I have had to take time out of our working days, which we both work full time, to be at home to have our snagging done. Our snagging list consisted of 63 items and half of these were down to pure laziness from the builders as stated in our issue above also. It has been an ongoing battle to try get these things fixed and a lot of things that were pointed out could not be rectified as it was ‘not part of abbey new homes spec’ which is what I kept getting told and is quite frankly ridiculous. I chased for months to get things fixed and it wasn’t until I emailed the chairman and other abbey new home members of staff that were higher up than the site managers that things started to be done quicker. We then had a plumbing issue where once again our en-suite shower, which we have had issues with when moving in, where the water would not drain properly and within 2 minutes of being in the shower our feet were completely submerged in water. I DO NOT appreciate being told that me and my partner are the reason this fault potentially happening due to my long hair clogging the drain. We had been in the house 3 months when this happened. I have lived with my parents previously for 24 years of my life and NEVER have they had issues with the drain clogging so quickly due to my hair. Management and builders have been very quick to judge and say it’s the homeowners fault rather than coming and seeing the issue at hand and trying to help. Not only do we have issues with our home but I have also seen my neighbours homes and their issues, such as cracks in the floor foundation when removing the carpets, leaking and damp smells from the bathrooms, uneven ceilings and more!! I am quite frankly disgusted at how these houses have been built and how much we have paid for this and the complete lack of after care from members of staff at abbey new homes. I will NEVER recommend friends and family or even my worst enemy to buy a house from this company.

Can’t fault Abbey New Homes so far. Michelle in the sales office is exceptional and very friendly, she’s your lady if your interested in buying in Oakwell Place. Now we are in our new home which we love, Dave is the guy we turn to with any snags and they are on course to be resolved, but Dave is absolutely great, he is approachable and helps whenever we ask. He’s always happy to listen and an asset to Abbey New Homes.

The buying process is smooth but aftersales severely lacking.

The buying process is smooth as they want your money however aftersales is shocking. I still have outstanding snags from when I moved in 2 years ago, with promise after promise to repair/replace and nothing materialising. They spin a yarn to nhbc to keep them off their back and leave us homeowners to fight them. Not a good experience and definitely will not buy another home from them.
