We have recently moved onto the Kings…

We have recently moved onto the Kings Green development and have started to settle in quite nicely. You forget how stressful and cumbersome moving can be , especially when you close that door for the first time and realise how much more there’s still to do! However, this has been seamless transition so far, mainly because of the builders on site who can’t do enough for you. The after sales service has been second to none and gives you confidence in what you have bought - a quality home from a quality developer, who pride themselves on delivering what you see in the showroom. A special thanks to Matthew,Ed and the team onsite for assisting us since the handover, they are a true credit to the business. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the development take shape.

Seamless moving experience

We never wanted a new build but as we were passing thought we would just be curious as we couldn’t find anything else we liked in the area. The minute we walked in we knew it was the one. From start to finish we had fantastic customer service from Sarah (the agent) and subsequently Ben (the site manager). We had a few minor snags but these were all dealt with quickly and efficiently with great communication. Our experience with Abbey was a very positive one. Thank you Ben and Sarah for making our move a seamless, positive experience at Chestnut Grove, Borden.

A forever home and expert sales team

From what started as a curiosity on visiting a new build accommodation; we were totally sold by the expert advice and support of the sales team, especially our dedicated sales advisor Zoe. Her support and empathy at listening to the customer was in great contrast to the horror stories you hear. Zoe kept in contact with us weekly, even when there was nothing to add. She accommodated every wish we for the property design and furnishings plus our many visits from early morning, to late evening and even weekend site visits, many unannounced where we would just turn up . Moreover she gave us every confidence that we were making the right choice for our biggest life choice. We can not wait to move into our forever home. Thank you Abbey but more importantly thank you Zoe (and Heather who was also so helpful when was Zoe not around). New built, Wixam Royal gardens.

I cannot explain how supportive these ppl have been to me. I am single, and I purchased the house. I had a lot on my plate with full time work, Teresa and Mick the team has been so supportive from first meeting till even almost a month after moving. Teresa helped me with the purchase and site manager Mick has been there every step of the way with all the questions I had, and I had a lot of questions :) . I dont know much about houses, but everything was clearly explained to me, any questions i was able to approach him without issues. I can say, even post purchase Mick and Teresa ,the team is still looking after me. As a single person, for me customer care has been excellent and even more i feel am looked after. I cannot thank them enough.....

Very Helpful and Friendly Site Management

Nev, Ian and Henry the Site Managers of our development have been amazing! So helpful with any questions and any diy jobs that need advice, which is great for first time buyers and always friendly and cheerful. There has been a few minor issues in terms of final touches to the property and some issues with site staff parking in resident spaces during the works, however overall it has been a pleasant experience and we are very happy with our property.

Buying our first ever New build home at Wellington Gardens in Walmer

Buying our first ever New build home with Abbey Homes has been an amazing experience and we are so pleased we chose this quality development on the edge of the countryside with field views but still close to amenities. We love our new home , plot 7 at Wellington Gardens in Walmer and have felt thoroughly looked after from start to finish and beyond! The sales team were exceptional and held our hands through the entire ordeal of the legals. Our first contact was Amanda who showed us around several properties and answered all our queries. She was very friendly and reassuring with the buying process. We then were very impressed with Zoe with her thorough knowledge, she has been extremely friendly and kept us fully informed throughout the whole process and took alot of the stress away.Prior to completion we met Simon, the site manager, for our full house demonstration. He knows everything about how our house works and now so do we! He also dealt with our snagging list which was very minor but he resolved all the issues quickly and efficiently. We felt very looked after and nothing was too much trouble, he went above and beyond our expectations. Following his visit, the next day, he accompanied Steve from Sunshine plumbing to sort out a few radiators. We were so impressed with the speedy service as it was just before Xmas! Steve was great and sorted the radiators out quickly and very patiently explained how the heating works.We would highly recommend Abbey Homes and their team for anyone considering buying an efficient, well made, brand new home. We are delighted with our new home and definitely feel its been money well spent.

From the very start of my journey with my first experience with Barbara, I just instantly knew I was making the right decision and can confirm i definitely did.Barbara on the sales teams, is one of the warmest and sweetest, genuine people you’ll ever come across in life. Barbara gave me all the information I needed and always replied back to my emails and messages very quickly. Barbara was also always more than happy to arrange any on site visits when I wanted to check on the progress. This is a very reassuring and special touch I was very impressed with, especially for a first time buyer. I had a couple issues with my process (nothing to do with Abby new home) in which I was then put in touch with Jessica. Jessica was absolutely amazing and really held my hand and supported me a lot which I was very grateful for even when she didn’t have to do any of that for me. At the start of my journey when I had my first site visit, I met Ian and Nev, the site managers. Meeting them also reassured me I had made the right choice by going with Abby new home. A lovely special touch that Ian allowed me do it on my first visit, is to sign my name on the wall. Since moving into the property, Nev has been nothing short of amazing, really going above and way beyond to ensure everything is okay and is quickly on hand if anything should need doing around the house. I would definitely recommend Abby new home, Arcadia park and especially to first time buyers 10/10. Thank you to Barbara, Nev, Ian and the team, it’s been a pleasurable first time buyers experience!

Great Sales & After Sales experience at Imperial Gardens, Hawkinge

I purchased Plot 111 on 31st July 2024 after a particularly stressful legal process. Both Heather and Shirley in Sales were extremely helpful dealing with all the complications leading to a succesful completion.The hand over process and initial snagging were very efficiently carried out by Simon, the Assistant Site Manager.I can't praise Simon enough for all the help and assistance he has provided in making sure that I am happy in my new Home. I wanted to share a review on the after-sale team. Curtis and the team have been brilliant from the day we shared our snag list. Nothing is ever an issue and all of our snags have now been corrected with minimal fuss. Curtis had always gone the extra mile to help outside of our snags. You hear about stories from other people buying new builds from other companies and the disaster they turn out to be. I am greatful that Curtis and the team made this a stress free as possible.

Crocus Fields, Saffron Walden

Currently purchasing a new home at Crocus Fields, Saffron Walden. During the purchasing process so far the dealings with the staff and David in particular at the show house have been extremely helpful and have been in contact with us keeping us informed of the progress of our purchase. Cannot fault David. Just have one slight area of concern at the time of writing this review and the build QC. The canopy over the front door and roof of the bay window are out of alignment, but David is on the case and hopefully we will not have an issues with anything else.UPDATE:Having taken ownership of the property on the first time of running the washing machine in the Utility room we had a water leak that soaked the carpet in the adjacent hallway and damaged the door and skirting board. The carpet was ripped up by the on-site staff and left to dry. 8 weeks later we are still waiting for the carpet top be refitted. If only it was that. After one week of moving in you are requested to submit a snagging list. That seems a remarkably small amount of time from past experience, but we did and to quote the site manager, "this is a sensible list and not over the top".To date the tilers came and made good two tiles not in place correctly and a hole in another, the decorator painted items missed. I am sure the plasterer would not have visited had I not been talking to the site manager at the time he stopped in ask for instructions what he was to do, but that is it!When contacting Abbey you are meet with silence. I suppose they hope we will go away, but not whilst I have 5 holes in the wall created by the electrician who had to cut them in order to replace a broken cable for the BT engineer on their side.Like so many on this development trying to get things sorted is proving to be a nightmare. We really do not appreciate having a carpet not properly fitted in a high access area and just hope that nobody falls over it or it will be taken a lot higher that just Abbey Homes.

Fantastic experience - a huge 'thank you' to all at Abbey!

My husband and I recently purchased an ex-Show Home at Hawthorns in Stoke Mandeville. We had a long and difficult journey selling our previous property due to the current climate, however, Abbey made the purchase of our dream home as easy as it could be. We were constantly reassured, felt cared for and prioritised and couldn't have been happier with our service. Ben South was absolutely wonderful, and Henry's handover was thorough and excellent. Our home is absolutely beautiful, lovely finishes and the perfect place for my husband and I as we move into our next chapter. We couldn't be more grateful to everyone at Abbey for helping us realise our dream! If you are contemplating buying an Abbey Home - just do it, you won't regret it!

Brilliant snagging service at Imperial Gardens

Purchased our first home from Abbey around 6 months ago. Sales process was smooth and we had great service from Sara in helping us choose the best plot for us. The snagging process was excellent and conducted brilliantly by Simon the site manager. There were a number of small snagging issues, as expected with a new build, all dealt with promptly and efficiently by Simon and his team. Communication has been excellent throughout. We would definitely recommend Abbey Homes and especially Simon who has been invaluable, affable and only ever a phone call away throughout the entire experience.
