Imperial Gardens, Hawkinge.

Start to finish absolutely brilliant.From the women in the office (Marina and Sara) to the guys on site couldn't have been more helpful with information as we are first time buyers.The house we brought in Hawkinge, Kent is perfect for me and my partner. Few little things here and there but it's a new build so to be expected.Personally would like to thank Simon and Steve the site Managers/Trainee. From picking up the keys to Simon being there for us in the first week with the knowledge and help to ease our nerves as fist time buyers. They have been superb and can't thank them enough. Couldn't ask for better people to be in charge.Thanks guys. E&R

Excellent Customer Service

5 star service re our home in the stunning Darland View development in Hempstead, Kent.Although this house was re sold to us, this was a house built 2 years ago, so out of warranty, but, Abbey Homes dealt with an awful noise swiftly coming from our 2nd bedroom. Known as Micro Cracking. Dante La Bella and his team sorted the problem, even when the house was out of warranty as said, Amazing effort guys, couldn’t fault the service and quality! Especially as the whole bedroom floor had to be removed. Again to work, top service, well done all. Mr Davis Darland View Hempstead

We can call it a home

We reserved for a house in Egerton Place on Dec 2021 with Sandra. Very welcoming and informative that gave us all details we need proceed with anything. The processing was smooth and exchange is done on Feb 2022 while the house turned over on Aug 2022 which is as scheduled.Although the house was not perfect, it was very well-built the first time we saw it (and many times during construction). My wife and I loved it. We had some minor problems that Valentine (site manager) arranged all to be fixed. I must warn you that the fixes will not get done quickly, but I believe it was in reasonable time and Valentin is very communicative. I am still happy that they are fixed and now I have nothing to worry about.The house itself are plain and full of "very tiny" snags but overall structurally excellent. We had late summer and winter and had no problem with heating/insulation or ventilation. No squeaking floor or hinges. Apart from problematic downlighters, everything else is in order.The rooms are standard/typical but is well-lit because the windows are strategically placed. The doors (especially the gap between the floor) can be better. But we can replace them so its not a bother. The house came with cooker, fridge-freezer, bike shed, washer, carpets installed. We also have ample storage area and sizeable turf garden (almost as big as the house floor size! 72sqm).I think we picked the right house despite of people telling us that new-build are very bad and not-worth-it. With Abbey Homes that builds quality livable houses and people like Valentin who are dedicated on their job, we do not regret my decision of purchasing our first house.

The Hawthorns, Stoke Mandeville

We recently moved into our new home at the Hawthorns in Stoke Mandeville (The Newcombe) . The service we received from sale through to minor snag resolution has been first class. Trish, Carly and Kelly from the sales team helped make the purchase very straightforward. They answered our many questions, were polite, friendly and communicated very effectively throughout. We used the solicitors, Tollers, as recommended by the sales team and they also provided a first class service. The build is of a very high quality and the minor snags we had were accepted without question and resolved promptly and efficiently. Dean and Henry were polite, friendly and helpful which enabled speedy snag resolution…nothing was too much trouble. All contractors who were engaged to resolve snags have been excellent and were always courteous and respectful of ourselves and our home.The whole process has been excellent…a well deserved 5 star rating and based upon our experience we would have no hesitation in recommending Abbey Homes to anyone considering a new build property.

I recently bought a house in September…

I recently bought a house in September 2022 in Oakwell Place, Houghton Regis and from the moment I was interested in buying the house to moving and settling in I've been well looked after. Michelle who assisted with the sale was great in terms of answering any questions about the area and the development when asked then when moving in Dave Scott has been instrumental in making the process easy. He's always unbelievably friendly when speaking to him and shows genuine care when tending to issues with the house (which have been very few) and works to get the issues sorted promptly.

Oakwell Place - Houghton Regis

We moved into a new build property in May 2022 in Houghton Regis (Oakwell Place). Although there have been a few minor issues that are to be expected with a new build, we are thrilled with our new home. The site manager, Dave Scott, has been an exceptional help to us. He is always friendly, polite, and genuinely concerned about our satisfaction in our new property. Dave has promptly addressed any concerns we've had, whether it's been re-adjusting external doors due to house settling, fixing some rendering imperfections, or answering questions about the new heating system. Our neighbours in the area have also expressed their high regard for Dave, speaking very positively about his attentiveness and expertise.We would also like to thank Michelle from the Site Office for guiding us through the process and ensuring the sale was kept on track and carried out until completion.

Abbey homes have been amazing from start to finish with the process of buying our new home Plot 80 Wavendon, Cathy kept us updated and kept in contact weekly throughout the whole process which was lovely to not have to chase for anything, Ben also was great and helped us throughout the process. Once moved in the site manager Dean always checked in and for anything we needed he would be straight over to sort, snagging was all done with no issues and Dean was contactable at all times. What a great experience with some lovely people involved. Site staff all really respectful when coming in and out of the site to get to our house. overall really impressed with the services we have received and love our new home! Manor Grange - brilliant experience!

I recently bought a house in the Manor Grange development and I cannot recommend Abbey Homes more! I must say, I was very surprised to read some of the less positive reviews here because my experience has been nothing but positive.Dean, the site manager has been brilliant and extremely helpful. There weren't that many snags as the houses are finished very well, but Dean came personally and rectified all the little snags (and more!). He noticed little bits I didn't and he made sure it was all sorted. The sales team have also been great from start to finish and are still always around to help when needed.I hadn't noticed that a couple of my bricks were chipped on the corner of the house - one of the contractors knocked to let me know that he is going to change them - he did so very promptly! It's great that the team are rectifying issues that even I had not noticed.The only slight down side is that you cannot customise the house when you buy (e.g. sockets, kitchen, sinks, spotlights etc.) so I ended up spending money once I was in to get exactly what I wanted. Having said that, this was made very clear to me right from the start so there were no surprises. All in all, a great experience with Abbey. Brilliant customer service from sales to site. Dean in particular was an absolute gem - super friendly and very helpful! Same goes for all of the site staff I have interacted with.

New abbey home in Houghton Regis and Dave Scott

We recently brought a new home from abbey in August 2022 in the Hougton Regis Bidwell area (off Thorn Road). We are very happy with our new home despite a few snags which you get with all new builds. Dave Scott is one of the site managers at this site. He is friendly, polite and really cares about us feeling at home in our new property. He has addressed to all the snags in a timely manner whether this is re-adjusting internal doors due house settling, fixing a gap in the guttering, any queries we have with the new heating system, etc. Other neighbours we have spoke to in the area also speak very positively about Dave.

Down sizing in your 80s

This is the first estate house we have purchased and very pleased with its accommodation and location at Crocus Fields Saffron Walden. We are both over 80 and had lived in our self designed and built house for 50 years, so moving home was quite stressful. Hannah Beckwith was very helpful and understanding, especially as the anticipated completion date was delayed by about 3 months. There was a minimal amount of snagging and we are very pleased with the quality of finish. Any minor problems or queries have been quickly dealt with by the site manager Dave Malloy, who has been a very reassuring presence. The only reason we have not given a 5 star review is because of the delayed completion.

Great home, great customer care!

Abbey have been great to deal with. We bought our home in the Oakwell Place development 2 months ago now and we couldn't be happier. There were of course some small snags as it expected with a new build, but they were dealt with and we love the house. Both Dave (the assistant site manager), Richard (the site manager, and everyone else we've dealt with on the sales side have been so so helpful. I'd like to thank Dave in particular for always being on call to answer any questions I may have, and being on hand to help wherever possible with us settling in.

We moved on a new build with Abbey Homes (Wavendon Gate) in September this year. The whole experience relating to the purchase was a complete magic by Cathy who was the first one requested us to book an appointment to view the show home and then we are so pleased with Carmack model and booked it immediately. Once we moved in we had a few minor snagging issues which Dean the site Manager was very helpful with and came round and rectified straight away. Much appreciate for his patience and always reachable for his quick turnaround time to fix snagging. We have been very pleased in particular with Cathy and Dean for their helpfulness and professionalism through what at times has been a stressful process. Harts Hall Place - Brilliant experience

We are very happy with our new Abbey home, and impressed with the internal specification. For us the Dendy was the perfect downsizing solution, though we don’t feel cramped at all, the whole layout flows really well. Like all new homes we have found some minor snags, most of which have already been sorted. Turfing and landscaping has wisely been held back due to the lack of rain, which we were relieved about.Special thanks to the wonderful sales staff here - Sara, Marina and Lisa - they have really gone above and beyond with their help, and their regular update communication has been excellent. Also the site managers Dave and Mark, whose service has been much appreciated.
