My 5* review is solely for Adam! Selling a shared ownership property is challenging as there are so many people involved. Without Adam’s help I genuinely believe it would never have happened. He was amazing at taking ownership, responding to me and keeping me updated with progress. Adam is an absolute credit to L&G and without him I think they would struggle. He is polite, dedicated and an absolute super star! Thank you Adam 👏🏻

However, Adam made a significant difference in the later stages and helped move things forward effectively when progress had previously been lacking. He kept me informed throughout, and I genuinely appreciated his dedication, commitment, and proactive approach. Adam managed to resolve and progress matters within a matter of weeks that had been outstanding for many months. Thank you, Adam, for your hard work and support. Your efforts made a real difference and were greatly appreciated.

GoogleDO NOT BUY THROUGH L&G. My experience with L&G Affordable Homes has been extremely poor. Despite repeated reports for repairs and a formal complaint reaching stage 2 L&G have left our building with no working intercom for 2 years. The front door has not locked for 3 months meaning our insurance is invalid, parcels are stolen and anti social behaviour. I also made a formal Section 22 request under the landlords and tenants act. L&G failed to respond, extended the deadline (after the deadline passed) then missed their own extended deadline. In its own Stage 2 complaint response, L&G acknowledged that the delay was unreasonable, that responsibility rested with L&G and that its oversight and communication had been inadequate. The response was issued on the basis that remedial works were underway and that certain matters had been resolved. However, the position I observed on site did not reflect this. We still have no locking entrance, overflowing bins and a huge lack of accountability or even communication for L&G. They promise updates and never provide them. Don't bother trying to call them as a tenant, calls get transferred and cut off. These are not minor cosmetic complaints. They concern access security, waste management, communication and statutory rights to inspect service charge information. Residents should not have to pursue repeated complaints and deadlines to obtain action on basic building management responsibilities. What concerns me most is the gap between the assurances provided in writing and the conditions that remain at the property. Based solely on my own documented experience, I have no confidence in L&G Affordable Homes’ management of this development or its complaints process. I would strongly advise anyone considering an L&G Affordable Homes property to ask detailed questions about building security, service charge transparency, contractor oversight and how unresolved complaints are handled before committing. DO NOT BUY

The whole experience from day one has been exceptional. The communication between us and particularly Mark Thompson has been outstanding and Nothing has ever been too much trouble. I do truly believe Mark has gone above and beyond his line of duty to help Us out in any way possible. Any question/enquiry was answered within hours of raising it even if some Were sent early Hours of the morning while We have been in hospital with our daughter. Moving house etc is meant to Be one of the most stressful situations you can go through but Mark really truly made it as easy as possible while we have been dealing with extremely difficult family situations alongside the process of moving. Mark is a credit to Legal and General and he should be Highly commended within the company for how he works and gets the job done we cannot thank him enough.

GoogleI Have recently bought a new home with L & G Affordable homes and the sales representative that showed me the home and held my hand all through the process was Amazing her name is Natalie Barry, I really caint rate this lady enough. If it hadn’t been for her I would have found it very difficult to navigate my way through the whole process, I found her to be very warm and helpful, whilst remaining very professional and informative throughout, she really did take a lot of the stress of buying a home out of it for me, Natalie often went above and beyond her role I am sure to ensure that it all ran smoothly, so if you are buying a home and you are lucky enough to have Natalie Barry by your side you are in good hands, thankyou again Natalie.

GoogleWe purchased a shared ownership property in Norwich and were initially satisfied. However, the staff at Landg have been unhelpful. For example, they asked me for permission to install a ring doorbell despite my having the necessary authority. They also requested permission to place plant pots on my property which I had previously been told was permissible. When I reported a neighbour for illegal drug use they were indifferent. Similarly, when I reported the same neighbour for trespassing they dismissed my concerns. The staff have been incompetent and I have made an official complaint.housing ombudsman have been informed. I have also encountered further issues with the same neighbours. They have been involved in illegal drug dealing and drug use again. Legal and General has repeatedly asked me to remove my plant pots despite having previously confirmed I can keep them.I am considering exposing this company to the press.

We bought 25% of a flat. We were told explicitly by their estate agent that it'd be easy to sell should we move on. It's now been a year on the market with no buyer in sight. Rent and service charge increase with no warning or explanation. We were scammed. Avoid at all costs. This is not affordable housing. L&G flagged this review for including the name of the agent that is mentioned in every other review.

GoogleBuying an apartment for the first time and through Shared Ownership can seem daunting but Jamie Fraser was really excellent at being there to guide us and help every step of the way. Jamie showed us the apartment multiple times, helped give a push with mortgage brokers and solicitors along the way, and was always very prompt to answer all our questions. This provided reassurance in this long and intricate process. From start to finish it took about 8 weeks to complete. Jamie also checked on us a few times after we'd moved in to make sure everything was running smoothly. We love our new home too and couldn't be happier to have taken the first step on the property ladder!
