Selling and buying a property is a challenge for everyone and managing all parties’ expectations is also very important. I acknowledge your feedback and your 3-star rating however I do genuinely believe Horton and Garton were deserving of ‘a six star rating’ making this sale happen for both yourselves and the client. Other less experienced agents would have found this transaction very challenging and possibly were not competent or experienced to see this transaction through to a positive conclusion. I would ask you kindly to review and reconsider increasing your rating… The estate agent works for the client/the vendor and not the buyer and we are obliged to report all live offers to the client and we were professional and had open discussions with you about the offer and conveyance process with my colleagues and myself included. I agree this was not a straightforward process or transaction however, often is the case there are time pressure demands “in a chain” when buying a property. Your purchase, in my professional opinion, was effectively managed by my colleague George (and myself) and I feel your comments are too harsh. Good morning Alvaro, I am disappointed to read your review and comments and I do understand your frustration that our vendor client did not accept you offer on the property. In the UK the estate agent works for the vendor client and not the buyer, so I recommend that you remain mindful of this with your buying experience next time. As we, both Michelle and I, conveyed to you on several occasions (whilst I was on holidays in another time zone by call and by text messages) we received multiple interest and bids on the property, our vendor client was also overseas and the decision to sell and accept an offer was a family one. I feel your choice of words and review are unfair and in the UK what I would call “bad eggs” on your behalf… fortunately for you… you mentioned to me on two occasions, when we spoke, that you “already had an offer in on another property with another agent so all is not lost”. Good luck to you on that property and I wish you all the very best with your next/ 4th purchase and I ask you politely that you kindly remove your 1- star review.
