This is our 2nd time purchasing a new Hopkins property. Mandy and Cameron were very helpful throughout the whole experience of buying, moving in and snagging. Any minor issues are being dealt with promptly. All in all a very smooth experience.

Brought a HH in August 2023 and what a…

Brought a HH in August 2023 and what a mistake it has turned out to be, we chose the home we wanted, asked the questions that were important to us as home owners. Fast forward 10 months and Hopkins have gone back on the emails and decided to give public access through our driveway. We were promise private driveway signs and a fence and now they have decided to put public access in and a sign explaining the landscape to visitors. I would never buy from them again and when you contact the customer care team their response is always "we will look into this".Do not buy.

We would like to reassure you that there is no public access from your driveway and the area in question will be fenced off with post and rail. Signage has been erected to inform residents of the wildflower seeding, which is important for local biodiversity.

Probably the worst home experience I’ve…

Probably the worst home experience I’ve had to deal with! My garden is so badly done when they was building that I’m still facing the consequences now and still trying to get this sorted! It was been 2 1/2 years I’ve had this problem. The garden want left with nhbc standard of top soil, drainage, bricks, mass amounts of clay in the soil,number plates, barbed wire, rocks all sorted left in the soil! I have so many pictures and emails to back me up on this and I’m just getting really annoyed now! I’m now having to put a claim in through the nhbc to try and get something done about this which I also don’t have time for! The customer service people constantly change so your enquiry doesn’t actually get taken on. This has ruined my home and my life having to spend up to nearly £8000 on trying to get my garden not to be a swamp when it rains! And yes I did lay topsoil when I first moved in and when told the Hopkins about this I was told it won’t matter because the turf will hide it, to my reply was so like sticking a plaster on cancer?

At the time of purchase we advise all our new homeowners to turf their garden as soon as possible. Delays in turfing will increase the chances of water pooling and in some cases wash the topsoil away. Grundisburgh Vale, Woodbridge

We recently moved to Grundisburgh Vale in Suffolk and have been very impressed. Penny in the marketing suite has been absolutely brilliant from the beginning - keeping us up to date with the status of our move and making sure the exchange and completion ran smoothly. Since moving onto the development the onsite team has also been great and site manger Stuart has been on hand to make sure that any issues were fixed quickly with minimum fuss. Nothing has been to much trouble.

Disappointed that they continue to…

Disappointed that they continue to advertise homes as available when they have sold. I understand that as a marketing tool it gets people through the door but when you are looking to buy quickly it's very frustrating. :(

I don't live here but at Brightlingsea. Beware if you buy a house with gravel drive. The stones go everywhere and Hopkins continue to put these drives in. Drives look shabby quickly and you are forever sweeping the road. Awful idea by Hopkins and are unwilling to replace

For a first time buyer my experience with Hopkins Homes felt very refreshing after spending so many years renting. Sheridan and the team were very thorough in guiding me through the experience and I had no problems during the entire process. I'm also really happy with the standard of the build - would definitely buy a Hopkins Home again!
