Jacqui Spicer and the Hopkins team at Mill Grove, Stowmarket have been amazing throughout the whole process of buying my first home. Can't fault the team as they have attended to every query and answered all questions. Absolutely loving our new home and couldn't recommended Hopkins homes more.

Trustpilotjust avoid, it's that simple, houses look nice but hide massive issues
I could go in to details about how they don't understand data protection rules or consumer rights, had aspects that even the person that fitted it agreed wasn't fit for purpose or how they took over a year to repair a fault that left concrete falling from the roof of our property and that still 5 years after reporting major faults we are still waiting on a resolution, or how they ignore requests from NHBC to conduct investigations but all I will say is avoid Hopkins homes at all costs.

GoogleDidn't feel at all welcomed, or that my business was wanted. Not impressed that the show home was a 5-bed "full spec" property - how about showing something realistic? Also found the finish quality of the show home to be ageing quickly at times (a big crack in the paint on the top floor from building movement that's not been addressed). If that's supposed to show the experience then sorry, I'm out.

Horrendous company to deal with, awful aftercare service. Managed to speak with the acting managing director Mr Barnard but even he hasn’t got the issues resolved and now simply doesn’t respond to emails.2 years on and the customer code are still chasing Hopkins home to fix our 7 day repair list from 2020.Cracked shower tray, painted over.Chipped tiles, shave the edges off.Outside light missing.Driveway has now sunk for the 7th time …..

Like the house but the aftercare which they state they provide “exceptionally” is non existent. We have been chasing them up weekly for a year now to get things addressed, they keep promising to get it done but haven’t actioned anything. It’s beyond frustrating and has tarnished our experience with them

Moved into another Hopkins Home at Mill Grove Onehouse and loving everything about the property. The decor, quality and finish is exceptional again and the service from Jacqui Spicer has been exemplary from start to finish.

Not very impressed with the overall experience at Hopkins Homes, firstly, the show home is unique in the whole development, which renders the objective of a providing a show home to prospective buyers pointless. Secondly, the sales person also disappointed, once we mentioned our interest in using Help to Buy, the sales person lost interest in us and tried to push us to deals we already had said no to. From the four properties we were interested in, three had ridiculous prices (just a couple of grand) above the limit for help to buy and no willingness for Hopkins Homes to be reasonable about it. Even for the one we could go with help to buy, we were then told all sorts of excuses for us to drop it, things like "can't guarantee it would be finished within the 6 months timeframe, which is a constrain with help to buy" or that they "couldn't reserve the house for us". To me it just felt Hopkins was unwilling to go through the extra hurdles of help to buy bureaucracy and unwilling to do any compromises or help us buy a property from them. Later when I wrote my two initial reviews, Hopkins asked trustpilot to take them down in some sort of predatory move, while I understand they have to ensure reviews are truthful, seems like they are a bit too aggressive in this regard. This results obviously in a distorted average rating, skewed in Hopkins favour.

Recently moved into new build on Mill Grove Stowmarket. House is amazingly good, finished to a very high standard, incredibly comfortable and immaculately clean and tidy on handover.Timescales were difficult to accurately plan around but ultimately worth the wait.

We bought a new house from Hopkins and Moore 2 years ago and it has proved to be one of the the most disappointing and stressful experiences one could possibly imagine. The site agent was quite clearly not up to the job as the house had not been properly inspected or cleaned prior to completion. Defects found on day one included faulty electrics, leaking waste pipes, ill fitting doors, loose paving, insecure wind straps and a loose fridge door, to name but a few.Their after sales department, which is ironically call "Customer Care" are simply useless. It has taken more than 25 emails, numerous phone calls and the intervention of the NHBC to get the problems rectified. Most people I speak to have had similar problems. I only hope that company will take action to improve the very low standards which appear endemic throughout the company.Would I recommend a Hopkins and Moore house? What do you think?

We were in the process of buying a bungalow at Swanton Vale in Swanton Morley. Just prior to exchange our buyers buyer dropped out.Although very annoying I would like to point out that Vikki in the Sales office was fantastic throughout the whole process and is an asset to Hopkins Homes.Because of her we could be back and try again in the future.Very grateful to Hopkins in the way they responded when the chain crashed.Thanks Vikki.

Avoid at all costs! We had the same experience as reviewed below, after reserving our house and paying for upgrades, the sale was cancelled under the excuse of delays to contract exchange, one day before exchange, only so they could re-market the property at £25k more. They were still happy to sell to us of course at the higher price. I thought maybe we were unlucky but seems this is more common at Hopkins. Well we ended up buying a house with another developer where all the upgrades were included in the price and they couldn’t have been more helpful. Buy elsewhere.

We love our new home in Mill Grove, Stowmarket! Jacqui was amazing helping us navigate the purchase on line, by phone from America with a 7/8 hour time difference during a pandemic. Her patience and knowledge of the purchasing process greatly reduced our level of stress. The on site manager Jason and the various other onsite staff have been extremely helpful with our move. We are so happy to be home.
