From the outset, Pollyanna and Paul at Hawes & Co were exceptional, professional, knowledgeable, and a real pleasure to deal with. Their valuation was spot on, and the marketing of our property was of the highest standard, with great photos and a clear, compelling listing. Thanks to their efforts, we had strong interest right away, and viewings were managed efficiently and respectfully. What really set them apart was their communication and integrity. Pollyanna kept us updated at every stage and was always available to answer questions, no matter how small. GoogleWe experienced poor handling towards a potential buyer which led to them contacting us independently, post sale-failure. The buyer described the interactions to us and offered communication screenshots. From that information we believe Hawes and Co didn’t act in our best interest, and made decisions and acted without instruction. The alleged aggressive sales strategy by Richard led to the sale breakdown and was covered by blaming the buyer. There isn’t a logical reason to doubt the buyer, they have progressed elsewhere. We completed the house sale with a different agency.

Chloe showed us around and was absolutely lovely, so friendly, approachable, and happy to take the time to go through everything without making us feel rushed. She made the whole viewing really comfortable and enjoyable. Richard, the manager, has also been fantastic, always supportive, easy to reach, and quick to help with any questions. His passion, professionalism, and knowledge were clear from the outset, and he made us feel confident that our home was in the right hands. Richard went above and beyond by arranging for his team to visit our property so the whole office was fully aware of its key features. This made the viewings feel more personal and well-informed, and the feedback we received after each one was always detailed and constructive. Although we didn’t find a buyer straight away, Richard kept in regular contact, providing us with updates and advice throughout the process. GoogleWe recently sold our property through Hawes & Co in Surbiton and were really impressed with the support we received. During the process, our initial buyers lowered their offer, citing wider economic shifts and a potential downturn in the property market. Naturally, we were concerned and unsure how to proceed. Both Paul and Richard took the time to speak with us in detail, reassuring us that our asking price was fair and justified. They advised us to hold firm rather than accept a lower offer. Although that particular sale fell through, we were very glad we followed their advice within a short time we secured a new buyer at the original agreed price and completed the sale a few months later. We really appreciated that Hawes & Co didn’t take what may have been the “easy option” of encouraging us to lower our expectations, but instead backed us with clear, professional guidance. We’re very pleased with the outcome and would happily recommend their services.
