Trustpilot(Surbiton branch) One of the worst…
(Surbiton branch)One of the worst letting agents I have had the misfortune of dealing with. 1. They introduced me to a short-term tenant who asked for 6 months - and left after 3 to move to their new house; the agent clearly knew about this as it coincided with the break-out clause. 2. Introduced thousands of pounds of costs in terms of maintenance/bills before/during tenancy, using their maintenance company that auto-inflates prices for any work by at least 100% 3. The agent arranged an expensive cleaner who didn't do an end of tenancy clean or any kind of clean. 4. Staff were unhelpful and abrupt - and offered the most ridiculous candidates for the tenancy including several foreign national students - who did not have appropriate proof, from Iceland and India. Do not use them - avoid and try other estate agents - preferably outside of Surbiton.

GoogleWe experienced poor handling towards a potential buyer which led to them contacting us independently, post sale-failure. The buyer described the interactions to us and offered communication screenshots. From that information we believe Hawes and Co didn’t act in our best interest, and made decisions and acted without instruction. The alleged aggressive sales strategy by Richard led to the sale breakdown and was covered by blaming the buyer. There isn’t a logical reason to doubt the buyer, they have progressed elsewhere. We completed the house sale with a different agency.

GoogleBig thanks to Chloe from the sales team, right from the start when she took our details on the phone , her knowledge of the properties on viewings was also a fresh of breath air after being on so many viewings where the agents knew very little. We offered on a property through her, she was transparent through the negotiation stage and helped us as first-time buyers, even recommending solicitors. The sale was tricky as the property had an awkward leasehold ; however, Chloe updated / educated us all the way through. Even right at the end , on the day of completion Chloe brought the keys to us.

GoogleWe are purchasing our flat with Hawes & co. and we have just exchanged contracts. Chloe was our contact right from the start and since the beginning she has been so helpful and professional. She has always been available for us, helpful in all the stages of the process and she has gone above and beyond trying to moderate the process and smooth progresses. She always gave feedback on where we were in the process, liaising with the buyers and our solicitors, keeping one step ahead of things. We are thrilled to complete in a couple of weeks and this also thanks to Chloe. I would highly recommend using Hawes & Co to any potential buyers.
