GoogleI very rarely sing the praises of estate agents but this time I felt I should take a moment to do so. My partner Anthony and I have purchased our current property through tgh a week before Christmas and the service and hellp we received from James and his team was second to none from the very beginning and I mean the very beginning! Considering that they do not conduct viewings on Saturday afternoons after 1pm, they managed to book one for us at 1.30 due to the fact that we were driving from Kent on that day and had other viewings booked. We made it for 1.30 (our last viewing that day!) and fell in love with the house. First thing on Monday morning, before the offices were even open, I rang to secure my offer and my call was answered by someone of their maintenance team. My message was taken down in writing and passed on to the agents at 9.00. That, alone is impressive! Anyway, long story short, everything went smoothly from then on but I have to say that everyone in the office was always aware of any development regarding my purchase. The communication between ALL the employees is superb and their speed of response incredible. They went above and beyond the call of duty, especially James who did a fantastic job dealing with solicitors and council.James knows Chard very well and can be trusted a 100% to put your mind at rest about local issues. Also something important when buying a house is the accuracy of the details on the brochure and the true likeness of the description. In our case, with our purchase, the house exceeded all our expectations and we moved into a 15 yr old house which looked like it had been built this year! How many estate agents have you dealt with that leave a bottle of Prosecco in your new kitchen and a letter of welcome and other goodies? If we ever move again, GTH will be the only agent we will deal with. They have restored my faith in estate agents. If only I could say the same about solicitors!

GoogleHaving had to deal with Estate Agents several times over the last few years, the conclusion being an utter condemnation of the quagmire they create with every step in what was/is an already stressful situation. So GTH started our relationship against a no win scenario and went from strength to strength. Honesty, straight to the point, do what they say and mostly going far beyond in dealing with our purchase that was unconnected to our sale to help us along. Unravelling the minefield and resolving impossible issues. They were amazing, trustworthy and earned every penny. All were notable - a fantastic team under the outstanding leadership of Jonathan - not ignoring Geraldine, a font of all local knowledge, and Debbie - the glue that brought it all together. GoogleGTH have been very professional and helpful throughout the marketing and sale of our property. Geraldine, Deb and James at the Chard Office have been brilliant. They have kept us regularly informed, even when the news was not always what you wanted to hear! So nice not to have to keep ringing to find out what is going on during a very stressful time. This is not the first house we have bought or sold through GTH, we will definitely go back to them in the future when we get itchy feet again, but that won't be anytime soon as its going to take me 10 years to unpack all the boxes!

GoogleThe worst agency I had ever. In 1.5 year couldn't fix garage door, everything broken, don't keep a word. Finding way to take money from deposit. Don't recommend to anyone.
Dear Mr Korkutis, we are disappointed to receive your review but must point out some facts. The property was completely redecorated and refurnished prior to the tenancy. A full inventory was taken at the start of the tenancy and unfortunately the property wasn't vacated in a like for like condition. Hence, the deduction from the deposit was mutually agreed in order to put the property back to the original condition. We can confirm that all maintenance issues when reported were dealt with as soon as possible as instructed by the landlord. With reference to the garage, at no point was the property advertised as having the use of the garage, but was intended to provide access to the back lane (not as a storage facility). GoogleVery disappointed with how Kate Grant handled my process. I was due to have the keys to my house on the 3rd of December but as I was being paid from work on the 6th I wanted them then. I explained this to her on the phone and midway through conversation she hung up, never called back or apologised. Also she was lying about the process of my mortgage going through saying the reason I'm not in the house sooner like planned is because it was my solicitors fault. But it was all on the sellers end (Kate Grant). - Use anyone else but her. If I could I would put 0 stars.

Kate is a long-standing and respected member of our team who has helped many clients through to a satisfactory conclusion with their property transactions. She was working hard as the link between the solicitor for the vendor (our client) and your solicitor and believed that your wishes were indeed met. You did move in on the date you specified, despite this being a different date to the one our client had wished. It is unfortunate that you have taken this view and we have done all we can to investigate the situation. However, if you wish to pursue this further, we would of course be open to discussion. GoogleAfter a poor start with our sale in August we quickly realised that the photographs taken were not showing our property at its best. Fortunately Gth sent their new sales adviser Ross who gave some excellent advice about the best way forward and not long after we had a flurry of viewings and then sold quite quickly. After that the process was handled professionally by the very friendly team who clearly understood the pressure involved in selling your house.

GoogleAs a first time home buyer, and a single person, this process was already quite daunting but it was not made easier by GTH. There was a lot of lacking information and knowledge on their part regarding the property that I viewed, and consequently made an offer on. I didn't find out important information until I was sat opposite my solicitor. Information such as the type of building was a coach house and this meant that as the freeholder I would be responsible for insuring 5 garages below the 1 bed flat I had put an offer on. This hadn't been mentioned to me at all throughout the viewing process or made clear when I made the offer. As far as I was aware, it was a 1 bed flat, with option to buy the freehold and a separate freehold garage. On 2 occasions when viewing the flat I was shown to the wrong garage. The first time this happened we (the agent, myself and a relative) tried to unlock someone else's garage. The next time an agent tried to take me to this same garage I told her, the garage isn't that one, and I was asked if I was sure several times. On another occasion I called to set up a viewing of the flat as the process was taking a while and I wanted to see it again. The staff member was abrupt and rude, and seemed affronted when I asked for a later appointment time than 9am as this didn't fit with my schedule. There was 1 member of staff who was helpful throughout, but unfortunately the total negative experience with this estate agents over shadowed his efforts. I would not recommend buying or selling through this company.
